Little Lights Learning Center

Why do we provide a calm down space?
Big feelings are a normal part of growing up and our little friends are still learning what to do with those feelings.
We have a 3 part emotional regulation plan
1. Feel it 🧡
We gently guide the child to name and acknowledge their feeling.
2. Calm it 🌿
We use calm tools like rainbow breathing, quiet time, and a space for little bodies to settle.
3. Handle it 🌈
Once we’re calm, we talk about what happened and practice what we can do next time.
Our calm down corner is not a punishment or a time out- it’s a space for a pause.
Through it all, we want our Little Lights to grow in emotional awareness, self- control, kindness, and confidence as they learn to walk with the Lord. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Leading our team:
🌟 Margaret-Director
🌟 Brie- Assistant Director

And our amazing teaching team:
☀️ Magali
☀️ Ty
☀️ Lindsey
☀️ Destinee

Our teachers work together as co-teachers to care for our classrooms, support one another, and make sure every child has people around them who are invested in helping them learn and grow.

We’re incredibly thankful for each of these ladies and excited about what we’re building together at Little Lights! 💛

Little Lights Learning Center is growing, and we’re looking for caring, dependable people who want to grow with us! 💛

We’re not just looking for someone to supervise a classroom. We want teachers and team members who genuinely love working with young children and want to CARE for them, TEACH them, and help them grow.

We’re building a team of people who are excited about creating an incredible, Christ-centered learning environment for the children and families we serve.

💡 What we’re looking for:
• A genuine heart for children
• A desire to teach, not just supervise
• Dependability and willingness to learn
• Someone who works well as part of a team
• Childcare experience and/or credentials are a plus!

💰 Pay starts at $15/hour and increases as childcare credentials are completed. Higher starting pay is available based on experience and existing credentials.

🧸 FREE CHILDCARE for employees as long as space is available in your child’s classroom!

If you’re looking for a place where you can make a difference, continue growing professionally, and be part of what we’re building at Little Lights, we’d love to meet you!

Little Explorers Early Learning Academy is now officially Little Lights Learning Center, a ministry of High Praise Crestview!

While our name and ownership are changing, our commitment to providing children with a safe, loving, and nurturing environment remains the same. Margaret Wakeland will continue serving as Program Director and as the primary point of contact for families.

As parents and pastors, we understand how much trust it takes to place your child in someone else’s care. We do not take that responsibility lightly. Our heart is to support our teachers, serve our families, and create a Christ-centered environment where every child is loved, encouraged, and given opportunities for their light to shine!

We are honored to step into this next chapter with you!
