Udder Peace

Coming home from the processor today, I found myself tearing up just thinking about how good our God is.

A few months ago, I felt deeply convicted that I needed to stay home longer with our kids after maternity leave. So, naturally, I did what I do—I sat down, ran the budget, looked at the numbers... and the numbers said no.

It didn’t make sense on paper.

But I knew what God had put on our hearts.

And I knew that if He was calling us to this, He would provide a way.

So we stepped out in faith.

And month after month, God has continued to show up and show out. Not always in the ways we expected. Not because we had some perfect plan. But every time I start wondering how it’s all going to work, I’m reminded again that He is our provider.

Today was one of those reminders.

We were able to have our beef spoken for before we even brought it home from the processor. And while we are incredibly thankful for every single person who bought from us, shared our posts, told a friend about us, or prayed for our little farm, I want to be very clear about where the glory belongs:

ALL GLORY TO GOD.

He provided the animals.
He provided the land.
He provided the customers.
He provided the opportunity.
And He continues to provide for our family.

When you support our farm, you’re supporting a dad who works his regular job and then comes home and farms as his second job.

You’re supporting a mama who desperately wants to soak up these years raising her babies, while also raising good food that we can feel proud to put on another family’s table.

You’re supporting a family trying to steward well what God has placed in our hands.

And you are becoming part of a story that God is writing for our family.

To every single one of our customers: thank you. Your support of our farm truly means more to us than you probably realize. Every order matters. Every share matters. Every recommendation matters.

But above all else, Thank You, Jesus.

The numbers said no.

But God said yes.

And He has been faithful every step of the way.

We don’t know exactly where He is taking this little farm, but we are incredibly grateful to be along for the ride—and grateful that so many of you are part of it.

All glory to Him. 🤍

On another platform, we were asked who we voted for and we thought this was a great opportunity to make something very clear about who we are and what this farm stands for.

Our faith and our foundation are in Jesus Christ.

Politicians will let you down. Political parties will let you down. People will let you down. But Jesus never will.

Our goal with this farm isn't to put our faith in a person, a party, or the things of this world. It's to faithfully steward what God has entrusted to us—the land, the animals, our family, and the opportunity to provide good food for our community.

We won't always get everything right, but we pray that in everything we do, we point back to Him.

“It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.” — Psalm 118:8

And at the end of the day, our answer is simple:

“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” — Joshua 24:15 ❤️

Betsy – The Perfect Homestead Cow 🐮❤️

If you've been looking for a family milk cow or an easy-going homestead addition, Betsy is the one.

Born Spring 2022, Betsy is a gentle, unregistered Dexter with an outstanding temperament. She minds a single strand of hot wire, follows a feed bucket, enjoys being petted, and has all the qualities to make a wonderful family milk cow with a little work.

She's raised three consecutive red heifer calves and is a fantastic, attentive mama. She comes with her beautiful 2026 half Dexter, half South Poll heifer calf at her side.

Betsy is honestly our favorite, but we're transitioning our herd to full South Polls, so it's time for her to find a homestead where she'll be appreciated.

Message for more information. We'd love to see her go to a family who will enjoy her as much as we have. 🐄💚

🐄 Dexter/Dexter-South Poll Starter Herd Looking for New Pastures 🐄

As we continue transitioning our breeding program toward South Poll cattle, we're considering placing several of our Dexter girls and their calves in new pastures. This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to start or expand a herd of gentle, medium-sized cattle.

Available for discussion:
• #16 – Registered Dexter (ADCA #047669), dehorned, super sweet, proven mama, and trained to a single-strand hot wire.

• Connie (sold) – Registered Dexter (ADCA #052622) with her red heifer calf (born 6/24/26).

• Betsy (sold) – Gentle, proven mama with her red heifer calf (born 7/5/26).

These cows:
✔️ Respect a single-strand hot wire
✔️ Come running to feed
✔️ Calm, easy to work with, and excellent mothers
✔️ Medium-sized cattle that are perfect for homesteads and small farms

We also have several young heifers that may be available:

Dexter moms, Registered South Poll dad

• 23G 2024 – red heifer
• 22G 2025 – black heifer
• 23G 2025 – red heifer
• 3G 2025 – red heifer

There may be one or two more as we finalize our herd plans.

We're not in a hurry—just looking for the right pastures where they'll continue to thrive. If you've been looking for quality, easy-to-manage cattle with good dispositions and excellent maternal traits, we'd love for you to visit. Feel free to reach out with any questions!

🐄 Registered Dexter Cow – Potential Family Milk Cow

#16 is a super sweet, 7-year-old registered Dexter cow looking for a new pasture.

ADCA Registration #: 047669

She is dehorned and has a wonderful, sweet disposition. She has successfully raised three healthy calves for us in previous years. Unfortunately, she had a stillborn calf this year. We aren’t sure what happened, as she has had no previous calving issues.

She currently has plenty of milk, so she may be a great opportunity for someone interested in working with her and training her as a family milk cow. She is not currently trained to milk, so she will need someone willing to put in the time and work with her.

She is only looking for new pastures because we are transitioning our herd to South Poll cattle. Otherwise, she would be staying here with us.

The chickens are producing faster than my family can eat. Somebody help.😂🐔🥚

🥚 $5/dozen washed 🥚 $3/dozen unwashed

Same eggs. The $2 difference is simply whether you wash them or I wash them. The chickens don't care either way. 😂

Also have a few laying hens available if you've been wanting to start a flock or add to yours. They're currently employed, but I'm accepting transfer requests.
