Back in black, but this time with a mic 🎤🖤 Red carpet host mode: activated. 😇

I had the chance to speak with Joe Levy (Joe Levy)about the role of music critics today. In a world of social media where everyone has a platform, an opinion, and the ability to influence what people listen to, are critics still needed?

Joe’s take: ABSOLUTELY because criticism is about more than simply liking or disliking something. Critics bring context, history, perspective, and curation to the conversation. Social media has opened the door for more voices, but expertise still has a place.

A fun conversation about how the way we discover, discuss, and understand music continues to evolve. 🎶🖤

Shoutout to: Rob DIFFA Dallas

Want to learn more about music criticism? 🎶 The Last Critic is the documentary Joe Levy helped produce. It follows Robert Christgau, one of the pioneers of modern music criticism, and looks at his six-decade career reviewing and shaping how people think about popular music - “The Last Critic,” a documentary about Robert Christgau

and obviously the song Back in Black by AC/DC is the best song ever and does not need any criticism 😇🖤
