A student who participated in shadowing me has asked for my support. This promising young man is about to complete high school and launch his healthcare career. I recommended that he explore certificate programs and enter the healthcare field at an entry level, fostering professional relationships as he advances. His teachers had proactively reached out to our department leadership, resulting in my involvement. What an honor to provide assistance in this manner. I recall being in my early twenties and seeking letters of recommendation; now, I am writing them for others. 🤩😃

Today I taught a two hour class to standalone ER RNs on the new vent roll out of servo air, vent set up, and initial settings. It was cool being in a position to teach and refresh some of the knowledge they already had. I was more nervous than I needed to be about teaching but I had nothing to worry about. Everything was fine.

Soon I’ll be speaking at Juneteenth celebration event where I will help engage with the community by sharing information and having conversations about being Black/African American and living with asthma, including:
-Asthma awareness
-Diagnosis and symptoms
-Treatment and management
-Addressing health disparities and community concerns

This will be a meaningful opportunity to support community education and promote respiratory health equality. 🩺 🏥 🫁

This year the valentines present for us both was this beautiful silver bengal baby. We haven’t been able to have our vday dinner yet but we gon enjoy and celebrate next week.

Found out that I got bumped down from “Magna cm Laude” to just “cum Laude” that one B I got on one of my last classes downgraded my honors. Went from a 3.7 to 3.66 smh….. wtf ever tho. I still got the degree and THAT is what matters most lol

This Graduation been a long time coming! I damn near gave up on finishing this degree but somehow i picked myself back up last year and finished this s**t like a MK fatality. I’m so happy. No more folks looking down on my associate degree! Put some respect on my s**t as I head for the next goal in grad school: MBA/MHA. Wish my god mother Joni could have been here to see this! 🕊️ Shout out to the few loved ones that were able to make my special day a priority!
