🐾 PANCHO’S PROGRESS — WEEK 6! 🐾
Pancho is a dog who has shown significant reactivity toward both people and other dogs. For him to now be able to enter a public place like Pet Supplies Plus and successfully work around real-world distractions is a HUGE WIN!
We have officially entered Week 6, and the Handler skills are really becoming second nature. The communication, structure, confidence, and consistency are starting to show—and Pancho is proving just how much progress can happen when a Handler commits to the process.
Pancho is almost ready for adoption! 🐕❤️

A Memory from one year ago today at Freedom Park
Just like every aspect of life, if you want to be great at something, you have to train for it.
In most situations, if your dog sees a person, another dog, or something interesting in their environment, their natural reaction may be to break position and investigate.
That’s exactly why we work directly on IMPULSE CONTROL.
Your canine companion can say hello. Your dog can investigate. But it happens ONLY when the Handler gives permission and intentionally releases the dog from position.
That’s the difference between a dog making the decision and a Handler making the decision.
Control doesn’t mean your dog can never interact with the world—it means you decide when, where, and how that interaction happens.
