We enjoyed this project spotlight from CT Darnell featuring Eastern Engineered Wood Products’ new distribution center in Belton, South Carolina.

What stands out to us isn’t just the scale of the project — it’s the focus on how the facility actually needs to work.

CT Darnell designed the project around material flow, storage, truck circulation, rail access and future growth. The 95-acre site includes more than 40 acres dedicated to the new distribution center, with cantilever racking, rack-supported storage buildings, cutting sheds and infrastructure designed with expansion in mind.

At WorkSafeWorkSmart.com, we talk a lot about improving the way work gets done. This is a great example of what can happen when facility design and day-to-day operations work together.

This morning, a simple sight stopped us in our tracks: a local fire truck, ladder raised high, proudly flying the American flag.

On September 11, 2001, our nation witnessed unimaginable loss—but also extraordinary courage, sacrifice, service, and unity.
