Our August community rock painting event is on Saturday, Aug. 1! 🎨🪨 From 1-2 p.m., join us in the Community Program Room at the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.) to learn about the worldwide game of painted rock hide-and-seek.

Participants of all ages are invited to paint rocks, explore the Library while they're sealed and left to dry, then take your painted rock to hide in the community for others to find.

SUMMER READING CHALLENGE REMINDER: Your last day to log minutes is tomorrow, Friday, July 31! ⏱️📘

Also, if your kiddo is an Elementary Challenge reader who reached level 4 of the challenge (completed 24 hours of reading), they’re invited to our Summer Reading Pool Party at the CAC’s Outdoor Water Park (1200 Gerault Rd.)! This Saturday, Aug. 1, join us from 7-9 p.m. for an after-hours splash with your fellow readers!

Space at the Outdoor Water Park is limited, so you must register to be guaranteed entry. Additionally, everyone who plans to attend – kiddos and their accompanying adults – must register. Visit www.flowermound.gov/summerreading to learn more and register.

This is your reminder to sign your kids’ permission slips for our End-of-Summer Lock-In this Friday, July 31! 📄🖊️ From 5-9 p.m. at the Library (3030 Broadmoor Ln.), we’ll play games, watch movies, and eat pizza. In one week, join us to learn how to create your own butterfly garden! 🦋🌻 Presented by Texas Master Naturalists, the program will explore how butterfly gardens support pollinators and biodiversity, as well as practical tips for planting, maintaining, and creating healthy habitats at home. When you drop off a book, you'll receive an entry ticket for the swap on Saturday, July 25, from 1-2:30 p.m. During the swap, grab a new-to-you book that you'd like to read using your ticket!
