💜 SAFE AT LAST – WELCOME HOME, AMARA! 💜

After a month and a half of surviving on her own with a devastating injury, Amara is finally SAFE. 🐾

Amara, a young German Shepherd in Terrell, Texas, suffered a horrific injury when her tail was ripped off by an 18-wheeler. Somehow, despite the pain and fear, she continued to survive on the streets.

When we first received the call about her, I was just one day away from leaving for vacation. Jeane and Angel immediately stepped in and began working the case, trying to help this sweet girl. Once I returned, we reassessed the situation and realized she wasn't comfortable entering the smaller trap. Thanks to **Billy and his wonderful family—his mom and his daughter—**who faithfully fed her every evening and earned her trust enough that she would eat from his hand, we were able to begin conditioning her to our 10' x 10' x 6' trap.

For the past week and a half, we've patiently worked to earn her trust. We even brought in Logan, our Magnet Dog, who did an incredible job helping her relax. We came close to getting a leash on her, but she just wasn't ready. So we stayed patient, adjusted our plan, and let Amara tell us when she was ready.

Tonight, that patience paid off.
Amara is SAFE. ❤️

She is now with her incredible foster, Stella, where she can finally rest without fear. Although she was understandably scared at first, it didn't take long for her sweet, loving personality to shine through.
We scanned her for a microchip, but unfortunately she did not have one, and no one has reported her missing.

Tomorrow she will see the veterinarian to begin treatment for what remains of her tail. While the injury is still bleeding, she is finally getting the medical care she has needed for so long.

Sweet girl... your days of running, hiding, and surviving are over.

Welcome home, Amara. You never have to be afraid again. Your next chapter begins now, surrounded by people who will love you, protect you, and make sure you never face another day alone. ❤️🐾

✨ ROXY IS SAFE! ✨
After 1 year, 2 months, and 10 days of surviving on her own in Celeste, TX, Roxy is finally safe. ❤️

At 11:42 PM last night, this beautiful Cane Corso walked into our trap, bringing an incredibly long journey to an end.

This capture did not happen overnight. It took 2½ months of patience, consistency, and trust-building to condition Roxy to our trap. At first, she would only peek at it. Then she slowly began going in and out. Little by little, she learned it was safe. Last night, all of that hard work finally paid off.

A very special THANK YOU goes to Vickie for faithfully feeding Roxy all this time and helping us condition her to the trap. Without your dedication, compassion, and commitment, this rescue would not have been possible. You never gave up on her, and neither did we.

Roxy has spent over a year surviving on the streets, and it has taken its toll. She is absolutely covered in ticks and will need veterinary care to get her healthy again. Despite everything she has endured, she reminded us who she truly is.

When the trap door closed, she was terrified and tried desperately to escape. But once she realized she was safe, the fear slowly melted away. Before long, this sweet girl was gently burying her head into me, asking for comfort. It was a moment I'll never forget. Beneath all that fear was simply a loving dog who had been surviving the only way she knew how.

Welcome to your new beginning, sweet Roxy. ❤️ No more wondering where your next meal will come from. No more surviving alone. You're finally safe.
