🌧️ Weather Update 6: School Closure - Thursday, January 29, 2026
After carefully assessing current road conditions and reviewing weather forecasts, Prosper ISD will be closed on Thursday, January 29.
We have had dozens of facilities team members working every day to clear sidewalks, doorways, driveways, and parking lots across all campuses. However, the continued cold temperatures have simply not allowed the ice and snow to melt enough for safe passage.

When the streets are clear and it's safe to go out...remember to SHOP LOCAL first!!
As the weather clears and doors reopen, let’s remember to shop local.
So many small businesses were forced to close during the weather, and for a local business, even a few lost days can make a big impact.
When they’re back open, show up, shop small, and support the people who support our community. Every purchase truly matters.
Local business owners: drop your website or updated hours in the comments so our community can support you this week.

Groundbreaking Progress in Prosper!
Town of Prosper, Texas Government
Today marked an exciting milestone as the Children’s Hunger Fund broke ground on their brand-new 85,000 sq. ft. facility right here in Prosper. This future-forward center will serve as a powerful regional hub, providing over 5 million meals annually across North Texas and helping distribute more than 100 million meals worldwide each year.
From the Volunteer Center to the immersive Poverty Encounter exhibit, this facility will offer education, collaboration, and life-changing outreach both locally and globally.
We’re proud to support CHF’s mission to deliver hope, tackle food insecurity, and make a meaningful impact.
Prosper High School is officially STATE BOUND!

From the loud cheers to the sea of green and black, the energy in the halls was electric.
Let’s show our support as they carry the Prosper name with pride and determination. Best of luck to these amazing students, we’re behind you all the way!
