Woodlake Park is officially open! From kayakers launching onto the water, bikers and pedestrians enjoying the new trail, and families gathering beneath the shaded pavilion, this new destination was designed for connection, recreation, and enjoying the outdoors.

Celebrating the grand opening of Peter’s Colony Memorial Park! 🎉 After years of planning and collaboration, it was exciting to see this new community space officially open and filled with activity. Proud to be part of the team that helped bring it to life.

Our team spent time at 4th Street Plaza in Frisco, getting an up-close look at the construction process and seeing how design decisions are brought to life in the field. Experiences like this are invaluable for young designers, highlighting the critical role that accurate documentation and coordination play in turning great ideas into successful projects.

Lily Cantú All-inclusive Playground 🌼🐝
MESA partnered with the City of Denton to create an all-inclusive playground at North Lakes Park inspired by Librada “Lily” Cantú and her love of flowers. The Pollinator’s Patch concept features bee-themed play zones designed to encourage exploration, imagination, learning, and connection for children of all ages and abilities.

Construction is nearing completion at Peters Colony Memorial Park!

Final touches are being placed as the project nears completion. Designed as a place for remembrance, gathering, and reflection, the park will soon provide Flower Mound with a lasting civic space that honors its community and history.

Furst Ranch is a 2,300-acre upscale master planned community spanning the cities of Flower Mound, Argyle, and Bartonville, Texas. The development aims to transform the area by introducing a blend of residential, commercial, and recreational spaces, while preserving and enhancing its natural character. The plan will feature over 550 acres of interconnected native parks and open space, forming one of the largest urban greenbelts.

Rotary Dream Park has received a Texas ASLA Merit Award!

Located in Arlington, Rotary Dream Park reimagines an industrial brownfield site into a civic destination—blending monumental public art, open space, and everyday experience. Anchored by the iconic DREAM and BOUNDLESS sculptures, the park’s design is a simple, powerful gesture, providing for each sculpture to be viewed at scale, with a sloping lawn and ascending path symbolizing the pursuit of dreams. At night, an interactive lighting system offers a new layer of fun and drama, ensuring the park remains an active and dynamic destination long after the sun goes down.

Mineral Well Public Plaza has received a Texas ASLA Merit Award!

In the heart of Arlington, Mineral Well Public Plaza transforms an underutilized civic space into a vibrant urban destination honoring the city’s past.

Standing 40 feet tall, the sculptural clock tower and fountain reimagine the historic mineral well as the focal point of the plaza. Emerging from a metaphorical spring, four monumentally scaled lion figureheads—developed in collaboration with a local sculptor—reinterpret the original fountain lions as enduring symbols of dignity and strength.

Together, these elements create a cohesive, people-centered environment designed for both daily use and civic gatherings. Through thoughtful placemaking, material expression, and interpretive design, the project strengthens downtown identity, supports heritage tourism, and re-establishes the Mineral Well as a lasting cultural landmark.
