🚨Irving Police are searching for a man accused of attempting to kidnap a woman Monday evening at Shady Grove Trail Park.

The incident happened around 8:20 p.m. Sept. 14 near the park’s walking trail. Police released a description of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to contact investigators.

🚨Two people have been arrested after Irving police said they forced their way into a 63 year old woman’s apartment at Nuevo Rayo Apartments and pushed her to the ground.

The woman reported injuries to her knee, back and head and was taken to a hospital for treatment.

Both suspects face felony charges.

Irving City Council Approves $343.8 Million General Fund Budget

Irving City Council has adopted the city’s FY 2026 to 2027 budget, totaling $343.8 million in General Fund spending.

The city will keep its property tax rate at 58.91 cents per $100 of taxable value.

🚨 An Irving Police surveillance operation targeting a woman wanted on multiple drug related warrants led to two arrests and the seizure of more than two pounds of ma*****na and 77 grams of THC products.

The pursuit began after officers stopped the vehicle near Oakdale Road and Robinson Street.

A new fast food spot is opening in Irving!

Angie’s is set to open Sept. 12 on N. Belt Line Road, offering burgers, pizza, salads, protein bowls, seafood and more.

The new restaurant will also have dine in, drive thru and online ordering.

🚨 Police say an Irving man attacked five men with machetes outside an apartment complex, leaving two people injured.

The Aug. 30 attack happened at the North Oak Apartments. Elmer Antonio Ramirez Romero was arrested and faces five felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. His bonds total $750,000.

An Irving hotel guest has been charged with arson after police say a fire was intentionally set on the third floor of the America’s Best Value Inn.

Police say the suspect prevented a hotel employee from extinguishing the fire before officers arrived. No injuries were reported.

A 24 year old Irving man was arrested after police said he assaulted his seven month pregnant girlfriend and blocked her from leaving an apartment in South Irving.

He faces charges of Assault of a Pregnant Person and Unlawful Restraint. Bond was set at $25,500.

A man is facing a felony charge after police say he forced his way into his ex girlfriend’s Irving hotel room and strangled her.

The suspect has been arrested following the Aug. 21 incident.
