This is the Mustang S650 GT we finished last week. The panel reflection in this shot is the result of hours of paint correction before a single drop of coating went on.

Triple black. Soft paint. Vinyl stripes. This Mustang S650 GT was one of the most technically demanding jobs we've done this year. 🖤

Here's why:

Black paint shows everything and corrects faster than almost any other color. The machine speed, pad selection, and pressure have to be dialed in precisely — too aggressive and you go through the clear coat. Too light and you don't correct anything. Cameron spent hours on paint correction before we got near a coating.

Then the vinyl stripes.

The 5-Year self-healing FEYNLAB coating we applied can only go on clear coat. Apply it to vinyl and it etches the surface permanently — the coating permeates into the surface at a molecular level, causes it to swell during application, and as it cures and unswells, it pulls the vinyl apart. Cameron masked every stripe, applied a separate coating formulated specifically for vinyl, and matched the finish so the owner couldn't tell where one ended and the other began.

This is the kind of job that separates 8 years of experience from a YouTube tutorial.

Most people think spring is the right time to ceramic coat their vehicle. It's not. 🍂

In a Texas summer, surface temps on your vehicle can hit 130–140°F. That means the coating flashes off too fast, cures unevenly, and doesn't bond the way it should. September and October are when conditions are actually ideal — cooler temps, slower cure, better bond, better finish.

Plus you head into winter already protected. Road debris, grime, and winter conditions don't touch your paint.

PPF or ceramic coating — which one does your car actually need? 🤔

We get this question constantly so here's the honest answer:

PPF (paint protection film) is a physical barrier. It absorbs rock chips, scratches, and road debris so your paint doesn't have to. It goes on the high-impact areas — hood, bumper, mirrors, door edges.

Ceramic coating is a chemical bond. It repels water, UV rays, and contaminants across the entire vehicle. Makes washing faster and keeps the finish looking sharp for years.

The best setup? Both. PPF on the high-impact zones, ceramic coating over everything else. That's what we recommend for most vehicles — and it's what Cameron installs more than anything else.
