Dogs Matter
Temporary dog foster care & supportive services for addicts and alcoholics seeking treatment. Dogs Matter offers a different choice.
Alcoholics and addicts seeking in-patient treatment facilities have had limited options regarding the care of their pets. In many cases either they place them in an unhealthy environment or surrender them to a shelter. We are the only nonprofit agency to provide temporary foster care placement and supportive services specifically for dogs of addicts and alcoholics in recovery. We take care of your best friend while you take care of yourself.

This is the wrap-up of our Lakehill Preparatory School student spotlight series, and honestly, we are so grateful. These students brought creativity, heart, and energy to everything they did. They didn't just support our mission, they helped tell it. If you've been following along the last couple of weeks, thank you for celebrating these students with us!
This is what community partnership looks like in action. We hope to do it again. π€πΎ
Earlier this week, Sugar was waiting for a chance - now sheβs curled up safe with her foster. This is what community support makes possible. π

Meet Rosie. π 2 years old. German Shepherd. House trained, crate trained, and the kind of dog who just needs someone to show up for her.
Her owner is entering a treatment program and with no family or friends available, we are their only option.
Rosie needs a 90-day foster and team supports you the entire way. If you have space in your home, email: [email protected]
Please share this - you might know exactly the right person. πΎ

The best partnerships are built on shared values, not just shared interests. As we prepare for Tails of Triumph this Thursday, we want to recognize the partners who made this evening possible.
These are organizations and individuals who understand that healing is holistic and that it takes a community. We are honored by their partnership and inspired by their generosity.
Thank you for believing that healing for humans and animals is worth fighting for.

πΎ DFW - we need you for Betty White.
She's an 8-year-old Siberian Husky mix currently undergoing heartworm treatment and in need of a medical foster home while she heals.
Calm, non-aggressive, loves belly rubs, and absolutely comes alive around other dogs. She is the sweetest girl.
Her owner is entering treatment and said it better than we ever could: "It would mean peace of mind that she's not going to be locked in a cage in a dog shelter. I'd know that she's being cared for and consistently attended to."
If you're in the DFW area, can you open your home to Betty White for 90 days? Dogs Matter provides full support throughout every placement. π
For more information, email: [email protected]
Unable to foster? Please share - the right person is out there.

These are the words of Sugar's owner.
Sugar is 18 years old. She is healthy, has no known health issues, and is completely beloved by her owner. She deserves 90 days of safety and care while her person focuses on healing.
Fostering Sugar wouldn't just help a dog. It would help someone begin their journey knowing the one they love most is okay.
If you have a calm, loving home and can offer 90 days, please email [email protected] π€

Meet S***t. πΎ
This 9-year-old Chihuahua proves that the best things really do come in small packages. Calm, house-trained, good with other dogs, and absolutely full of love. S***t is the kind of dog who will quietly become the best part of your day without you even realizing it.
He needs a temporary foster home for 90 days while his owner gets the support they need. No chaos required. Just a warm spot, a gentle home, and someone who appreciates a calm, sweet little soul.
Could that be you? Email [email protected] for more information. Share this if you know someone with room for a tiny, perfect boy. π
