Texas de Peru is a part of Lone Star Healthcare Missions / Texas de Peru providing medical and surgic
Texas de Peru enables individuals and organizations to deliver healthcare, grow servant leaders and make a difference in the delivery of healthcare to the undeserved, globally and locally. The objective of Texas de Peru is to serve as a “bridge” between the health and welfare needs of the indigent in Peru and the surplus medical supplies, professionals and expertise in Texas. Texas de Peru will focus specifically on establishing that delivery path between Texas and Peru. Today, we are directly connected to a medical facility in Coya and will facilitate the sourcing and delivery of much needed medical supplies and equipment as well as conduct multiple medical missions throughout the year. Here in Texas, we are currently connected to 208 North Texas healthcare organizations representing over 40,000 medical professionals. Team 1 finished up a great week. So blessed to be able to help such beautiful people in a beuatiful country. Team 2 is alreay hard at it with more volunteers arriving today. A ton of preparation is finally paying off as we are in day for at the Kausay WasiKausay Wasi clinic. It’s Tuesday night 7:30 and the team is doing its last surgery of the day. More pictures and posts tomorrow!

🦙 Several English words — llama, puma, quinoa, and condor — all come from Quechua, a small reminder of how far this culture's influence reaches.
Soon, our reach will extend to the Sacred Valley too. Texas de Peru's volunteer surgical teams are almost ready to travel to the Kausay Wasi Clinic to provide free women's health and urology care to underserved families.

🌄 Many Quechua-speaking families in the Sacred Valley still farm steep mountainside plots much as their ancestors did generations ago.
These same families often have limited access to specialized medical care. Texas de Peru's volunteer surgical teams are heading to the Kausay Wasi Clinic to help change that, providing free women's health and urology services.
