What do you do when this is your first run…..you quit!! More Metallic aka Brandy will more than likely be my horse of choice for breakaway. For a young mare her grit and drive to a calf makes her an easy choice to rope off of.

Sometimes trusting the process is hard. But then opportunities like this 5yr old mare of Rockin' Rafter P Ranches let me appreciate it. More Metallic has been to 6 rodeos, 4 jackpots and 2 Futurities. Started roping in Feb 2026. She’s already earned some pro rodeo money and it’s just the beginning. Ready for a summer just seeing what she’s got!!

Rockin' Rafter P Ranches 5yr old More Metallic had a great 4th jackpot….yes I said 4th jackpot….at the Carbon Classic Events. Placed 2nd in Round 2, and just out of the average bc of pilot error in 3rd round. Not sure why I chose her to go but just had a feeling!! She’s got grit!!

Took some 5yr olds to Gold Buckle Futurities. More Metallic aka Brandy was a fill in for one that had cellulitis. I wasn’t expecting to take her just yet thought she needed more time. But she showed up in round one and I missed one in round two. But I was so proud of how she worked!! With just getting things started in January for this mare I’d say she’s going to be alright! Amber brought 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗡 𝗝𝗘𝗧𝗧 (by Stevie Rey Von) to the Gold Buckle Futurity after just one month of breakaway training, and this mare showed up in a big way finishing just one hole out of the finals in the 6 & under.

Excited to have Wh***ey back for the Futurities!! This is his last futurity year and I was hurt majority of his 5yr old year. So this one means something!!
Roan Jett aka Styx has really taken to breakaway. Less than a month and I felt she could handle her first jackpot and won 2nd in the first round. Jockey failure in round 2. I think she likes to rope calves!! Rockin' Rafter P Ranches Primal Performance Horses
