Working in Katy, Texas this week on another story-driven video project. 🎥🎣

This one focuses on a man who has spent years giving back to fishing here in Texas, helping educate families and introducing more people to the outdoors through fishing.

We spent day one capturing his interview with a two-camera setup and full lighting package, laying the groundwork for the story we’ll continue filming over the next few days.

Projects like this are a big part of what we do at Rustic River Media. From interviews and documentary-style storytelling to commercial and corporate video production, we can bring the cameras, lighting, audio and crew needed to handle the entire production from start to finish.

First stop on the road: Lake Fork, Texas. 🎥🎣

I’m spending the first week of my multi-week road trip here filming a story that has taken us from the water to the workshop and given us a chance to capture a pretty unique part of the fishing world.

I can’t share too much about this one just yet, but it’s been a really cool opportunity to document two brothers who have spent decades perfecting their craft and have made quite a name for themselves along the way.

Another TxSPC Symposium in the books! 🎥

This week marked our fourth consecutive year live-streaming the annual Texas Su***de Prevention Collaborative, a multi-day event featuring numerous presenters and sessions.

Our crew managed the full livestream production, including multiple cameras, each with its own wireless video feed, front-of-house audio for the room, a separate mix for the livestream, an overflow-room video/audio feed, and the various IT needs that come with keeping an event like this running smoothly for multiple days.

It takes a lot of gear and a good crew to make it all work. Between the cameras, microphones, Teradek wireless systems, livestream switchers, comms, audio consoles, computers, and a pile of cables running everywhere, there are a lot of moving pieces behind the scenes, but our experienced team pulled it off yet again.
