EARL left this review on Gooogle today:

Panamá Relocation Tour was AWESOME! Not only the tour in it of itself, but the tour guides, the drivers, the guest speakers and the new friends we have gotten to know on Panamá Relocation Tours, tour #348 (4 September to 11 September 2026).

Jackie has put together a plethora of professional and awesome people working for and with her.

From Dustin coordinating and keeping abreast of changes to our tour itinerary with us online. Andrea having to reschedule our departure flight from David to Panamá city, due to American Airlines moving our return/departure flight from Panamá to an earlier time, even before our tour actually began. Humberto picking us up at Tocumen airport upon our arrival, to the crew (guides) of Jahlene, Michael, Ryan, and Jorge and his sons transporting us, they are a dynamite team. They were all warm, knowledgeable, well informed and professional. Their hospitality and attention were beyond reproach.

We were continuously told and reminded how Panamánians are a warm, inviting and gracious people. But from my perspective, so were (are) Jackie’s team. I would say that her team has fully embraced Panamánian’s traits.

The lodging was great and not only were our minds fed with a vast array of information. So were our stomachs also fed very well with excellent foods! In the short week there, I gained a few pounds. My wife and I fully enjoyed our time! I would say to anyone wishing to explore and experience Panamá in the company of good people, you should not hesitate in the least to attend a Panamá Relocation Tour.

❤️ PREPARING FOR DEATH IN PANAMA: WHAT EVERY EXPAT SHOULD KNOW

If you plan to spend the rest of your life in Panama, you also need to plan for the end of your life in Panama.

📅 Tuesday, September 8th

Billy will share his personal experience after his wife became seriously ill, needed hospice care, and ultimately passed away in Panama—including what he learned and what he wishes he had known beforehand.

✅ Public vs. private care and potential costs

Preparing for Death in Panama: What Every Expat Needs to Know 09/05/2026

There are only two things certain in life: death and taxes.

Luckily, if you live in Panama and do not earn any Panama-sourced income, you generally will not owe income taxes in Panama.

Preparing for death, however, is a more difficult subject—but it is an important one for anyone considering a move to Panama.

During our upcoming livestream, Billy will share the deeply personal experience of what happened when his wife became seriously ill, needed hospice care, then hospice, and ultimately passed away in Panama.

He will discuss what they went through, the decisions they had to make, and what he learned from the experience. His story will help you understand why it is so important to prepare for the unexpected before a medical crisis occurs.

You need to know:

* How hospice care works in Panama
* Who to contact when a loved one becomes seriously ill
* What arrangements should be made in advance
* What happens when someone dies in Panama
* Which legal and financial documents you should have
* What your family will need to do afterward

It is also important to understand that a Will created in another country may not be valid for assets located in Panama. If you own property or other assets in Panama, you should speak with a qualified Panamanian attorney about creating a Panama Will.

You should also have beneficiary letters—called *cartas de beneficiarios*—on file for all your Panama bank accounts. These documents can make it much easier for your beneficiaries to access the funds after your death.

No one enjoys thinking about these things, but being prepared can save your family from unnecessary confusion, delays, and legal expenses during an already difficult time.

Billy will also share important lessons he learned about hiring people in Panama. His experience could help you avoid misunderstandings, legal problems, and very expensive mistakes.

This will be an honest and informative conversation that everyone considering living in Panama should hear.

7 THINGS TO VERIFY BEFORE RENTING A HOME IN PANAMA

A beautiful view and attractive photos can make it easy to fall in love with a rental—but do your homework before signing a lease or paying any money!

Here are seven things you should verify:

1️⃣ THE OWNER OR AGENT
Confirm the owner’s identity or verify that the agent has permission to represent the property. Never rely solely on photographs, WhatsApp messages, or a copied online listing. Your attorney can verify this information.

2️⃣ THE ACTUAL CONDITION
Inspect the home in person before paying a deposit. Photos may be outdated or fail to show important problems.

3️⃣ WATER AND DRAINAGE
Test the water pressure and ask about water outages. Find out whether the property has a reserve tank and pump. During Panama’s rainy season, also check for drainage or flooding problems. Verify that there is hot water at all faucets.

4️⃣ MOLD, MOISTURE AND PESTS
Look inside closets, under sinks, behind furniture, and around ceilings and windows. Musty odors, bubbling paint, or dark spots can indicate moisture or mold.

5️⃣ NOISE AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD
Visit at different times of the day. Check for barking dogs, traffic, construction, bars, churches, roosters, or other noise. Also verify access to grocery stores, medical care, transportation, and other necessities.

6️⃣ INTERNET, AIR CONDITIONERS AND APPLIANCES
Confirm that reliable internet is available at the address. Test every air conditioner and appliance, and find out who is responsible for maintenance and repairs. Ask which utilities are included in the rent.

7️⃣ THE LEASE AND SECURITY DEPOSIT
Get everything in writing—including the rent, deposit, lease term, renewal terms, utilities, pet policies, repairs, and notice required before moving out. Photograph the home’s condition and prepare a written inventory before accepting the keys. Have your attorney review the lease and check the title before you sign anything.

Panama’s Ministry of Housing and Territorial Planning, MIVIOT, says residential rental contracts should be registered, and its rental office handles contract registration and security-deposit consignments.

Whenever possible, RENT BEFORE YOU BUY. Living in an area gives you time to discover whether the home, neighborhood, climate, and lifestyle are truly right for you.

The Online Panama Relocation Guide includes trusted rental contacts and step-by-step information to help you move to Panama with fewer surprises. We recommend professionals based on service and value—not referral fees.
