To tell you a little about myself, I have recently finished my student teaching in a third grade class at Roosevelt Elementary, a wonderful school in Norman Oklahoma. After completing that semester of student teaching I graduated from the Univweriy of Oklahoma in the Fall of 2013. I have also been fortunate enough to receive a job at Roosevelt Elementary teaching as a gifted and talented resource teacher. For this job I have been pulling kindergarten, first, and second grade for GT enrichment activities. I also have been able to pull first graders for "Book Club," which is a group of high readers from first grade classes that need reading enrichment. I also pull high level math students from second grade to teach enriching activities that correlate to what they have been learning in class.

CALLING ALL LITTLE MONSTERS! 👀
This activity was SO much fun and is perfect for inside or outside!

We soaked cotton balls in watercolor paint, placed them on a piece of paper, and then let the kids smash them with a hammer to create an exploding paint effect! Once the paint dried, we added googly eyes and silly faces to turn each colorful splatter into its own little monster.

Such a fun way to mix art, sensory play, and a little bit of smashing!

The cutest little Halloween craft 👻

These coffee filter ghosts are SO easy to make and perfect for your little ones! Plus, you probably already have most of the supplies at home.

Things you need:
• Coffee filters
• Washable markers
• Spray bottle with water

How to make them:

1. Flatten out your coffee filter and let your little one color all over it with washable markers.
2. Lightly spray the coffee filter with water and watch the colors blend together!
3. Let it dry completely.
4. Use a marker to draw eyes and a mouth to turn it into a spooky little ghost!

Such a simple Halloween activity with a little coloring, and fine motor practice mixed in. Save this one for an easy October activity with your little ones!

I don’t know who needs to hear this before back-to-school season, but this dry erase word wall is a classroom game changer! 🍎✨

Once you grab your 12x12 scrapbook paper from Hobby Lobby or Michaels Stores, simply laminate each sheet and you’re ready to hang them (trust me, a laser level will make your life so much easier!).

To finish the look, I created these circle letter headers that attach with small clothespins, making it easy to switch out letters while giving your word wall a clean, organized look.

Comment BTS for my word wall circle letters! 😊😊

CLASSROOM DISPLAY TIP! ✏️
This trick to put up letters on a bulletin board or display saved me so much time!! I used painters tape to first put up the letters to make sure that they were straight and spaced out exactly how I wanted them. Then I fixed anything that needed to be changed and then staple them to the wall. Finally, I remove the painters tape and it looked exactly how I wanted it to!😊 *Make sure letters are laminated first.

One of the questions I get most is, “How do I actually print the banner after I buy it?” So I put together a quick step-by-step tutorial to walk you through the process!

After downloading your Canva template, making your edits, and saving your design, uploading it to Walgreens is simple. If you have any questions, leave a comment or send me a message, I’m always happy to help!😊

I’ve been thinking about this, learning everything I can, and testing things out behind the scenes for so long now and I finally did it! My Etsy store is officially open!

I figured there was no better time to launch than right before the Fourth of July, so I have patriotic banner designs ready to help make your celebrations easy and festive. 🇺🇸

This is just the beginning, and I can’t wait to keep adding new designs and resources. Thank you so much for supporting this new adventure it truly means so much to me!
