You are broken.
You are traumatized.
You are rejected and stigmatized after a failed marriage.

Now tell meโ€ฆ how do you fix a broken plate when you, the parent, are also broken?

Children carry pain differently.
An adult may still find ways to survive because responsibility lies ahead, but children are still learning how to process emotions, rejection, fear, and uncertainty.

Many children cry silently at night, wondering:
โ€œWhat will happen to me now?โ€
โ€œWill my life ever remain the same?โ€
โ€œWhat will my friends think about me?โ€

Suddenly, adulthood begins to awaken inside them before their time.

They know their comfort may be taken away.
They know the home is divided.
They know the love they once enjoyed may no longer feel the same.
They fear that a wounded parent may become emotionally exhausted and vulnerable.
They fear instability, loneliness, and uncertainty.

Parenting from trauma is one of the hardest battles anyone can fight.
Single parenting is not childโ€™s play.

This is why we must guide the future carefully:
Marry wisely.
Ask questions before saying โ€œI DO.โ€
Seek help when a relationship becomes toxic.
Do not ignore red flags.
Do not always look for an escape route whenever storms arise in marriage.

Because the pain of broken children often lasts longer than the pain of broken adults.

Beauty will not save a marriage.
Money will not save a marriage.
Affluence, career, or status will not save a marriage.

Character matters.
Emotional maturity matters.
Patience matters.
Prayer matters.
And marrying a God-fearing spouse matters.

Protect the future by building healthy homes today.

The Power of Words in Marriage

Words can either build a home or slowly destroy it. Many people underestimate the power of their words, especially in marriage. A harsh word may only take a few seconds to say, but the pain it creates can remain in the heart of your spouse for years.

When you're angry, frustrated, or disappointed, be mindful of your words. Some wounds are not physical; they are emotional wounds caused by careless statements, insults, mockery, comparison, or constant criticism. After the words are spoken, they begin to germinate in the heart of the receiver. They affect confidence, peace, emotional well-being, and even the strength of the marriage itself.

Remember, God created the world through words. Words carry power. They can encourage, heal, uplift, motivate, and restore. At the same time, words can discourage, tear down, damage self-esteem, and create emotional distance between couples.

Many homes today are suffering not because of a lack of money, but because of a lack of kind communication. A spouse who constantly hears hurtful words may become withdrawn, bitter, emotionally disconnected, or hopeless. Children who grow up in homes filled with shouting, insults, and negative words often carry those emotional scars into adulthood.

As couples, learn to speak life into each other. Let your words bring comfort instead of torment, peace instead of pain, healing instead of hurt. Not every thought should be spoken. Sometimes silence is wiser than speaking in anger. Before you speak, ask yourself:
โ€ข Will these words bring peace?
โ€ข Will they heal or hurt?
โ€ข Will they strengthen my marriage or damage it?

A soft answer can calm anger. A kind word can heal a stressful day. An encouraging statement can restore confidence in your spouse.

Marriage flourishes where love and respectful words are present. Speak to your spouse with kindness, patience, honor, and understanding. The same mouth that says โ€œI love youโ€ should not constantly speak words that break the heart.

Couples, let us use our words carefully. The home that harsh words cannot build, harsh words can surely destroy. Choose daily to speak words that nourish your marriage, protect your family, and glorify God.

Let your words always be comforting, not tormenting.

Good morning Integrity Couples Family

As we begin this new Monday, our hearts are filled with gratitude to God for the gift of life and the privilege to see another week. In times like these, we hold firmly to Godโ€™s promises and commit our families and nation into His hands.๐Ÿ™

Heavenly Father, we ask for Your divine protection over our homes, our children, and our communities. Lord, especially in the face of insecurity and fear in many places, we pray that You surround our children with Your angels whenever they go to school. Protect every child in the classroom, on the school bus, on the playground, and on the roads. Let no evil, kidnapping, violence, or tragedy come near them.๐Ÿ™

Father, we pray for Your covering over every church gathering, marketplace, workplace, and public event. Wherever Your children gather, let Your presence bring safety and peace. Disappoint every evil plan and frustrate every agenda of violence in our land๐Ÿ™.

Lord, we ask for preservation. Preserve our lives, preserve our peace, and preserve the unity in our homes. In moments of fear and uncertainty, strengthen our faith and remind us that You are still our refuge and strong tower. Keep husbands, wives, and children united in love and understanding.๐Ÿ™

Father, we ask for divine provision for families struggling with hardship. In this season of economic challenges, provide food for the hungry, jobs for the unemployed, strength for hardworking parents, and hope for discouraged hearts. Let there be financial breakthroughs, open doors, and unexpected help for every family represented here.๐Ÿ™

Lord, grant our leaders, parents, teachers, and spiritual leaders divine wisdom. Wisdom to make the right decisions, wisdom to protect lives, and wisdom to raise children in truth, courage, and godliness. Help us as couples to lead our homes with patience, discernment, and prayer.๐Ÿ™

We declare today that Nigeria shall know peace again. Our children shall go to school safely and return home safely. Our churches shall gather without fear, and our homes shall remain under the protection of the Almighty God.๐Ÿ™

This week, we shall not mourn, we shall not fear, and we shall not lack. Godโ€™s hand will rest mightily upon our families.

In Jesusโ€™ mighty name, Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿพ

If you are praying for Godโ€™s protection over your family and nation this week, type AMEN and share this prayer to encourage another home.
