No Surrender
NO SURRENDER: From rock bottom to Rockstar - powerful testimonies of hope, resilience, and faith.
What if Surrender isn’t giving up?
Alejandro Monteverde believes Surrender is actually what allows you to keep moving when life doesn’t go according to plan.
His philosophy is simple: work as hard as you can, but understand that you don’t control the results.
“You cannot steer a car that is parked.”
You still have to move. You still have to show up. You still have to do the work.
But you don’t get to control exactly where the road takes you.
That lesson became much more personal after an unimaginable family tragedy left Alejandro carrying a level of pain he didn’t believe he could handle.
He realized he had two choices: let the weight destroy him or become strong enough to carry it.
In this No Surrender Quick Lesson, Alejandro shares how Surrender, meditation, prayer, gratitude, and learning to quiet his ego changed the way he approaches both success and suffering.
Work hard. Keep moving. Surrender the outcome.

70 men started Navy SEAL training.
Only 11 finished.
Dr. Bob Adams was one of them.
Years later, Bob looked back at the 11 men who made it through and realized they had something in common: every single one of them had already been tested by life before they ever entered BUD/S.
Bob had too.
At 11 years old, he stepped between his mother and his alcoholic father during a violent confrontation.
Years later, Navy SEAL Hell Week would push him to another breaking point.
Bob describes it as reaching the “I can’t” line — the moment your body or mind tells you that you cannot go any further.
You either cross it.
Or you ring the bell.
Bob crossed it.
He went on to become a Navy SEAL platoon commander, physician, and Command Surgeon for the Army’s Delta Force.
At the end of our conversation, Bob summed up the mindset that carried him through it all:
“There is no surrender in me.”

Resilience
Sometimes the strongest thing you can do is Surrender.
Amy Lord spent 22 years battling addiction.
For years, she tried to fight it, control it, and convince herself she had everything under control. But looking back, Amy realized she wasn’t addicted to just one substance.
She was addicted to “more.”
More intensity. More escape. More of anything that could quiet the pain.
Then came the moment she knew something had to change.
Amy fell to her knees, surrendered to God, and made the decision to walk in a different direction.
Today, she celebrates 20 years of sobriety.
In this No Surrender Quick Lesson, Amy shares why surrender isn’t the same as giving up. Sometimes it’s the moment you finally stop fighting alone and start moving forward.
Sometimes you have to Surrender to win.
