The arena lighting definitely put my camera to work, so you'll notice these images have a little more grain than my usual style. I'd much rather deliver a sharp action shot with a bit of texture than miss the moment entirely!

A quick note from Velvet Ash Photography. 🤍

I've realized there may be a little confusion about the watermarks on my event galleries, so I wanted to clear things up.

For the last few events, I've been trying something new by including a small selection of free images. Those images will only have the small Velvet Ash Photography watermark in the bottom left corner. Those are yours to enjoy and share!

Images with the large watermark across the center are preview images that are available for purchase. Those aren't intended to be screenshotted or used as profile pictures, posts, or shared elsewhere. Once purchased, you'll receive a clean, high-resolution version without the large center watermark.

I know it may seem like "it's just one photo," but every image represents so much more than the click of a shutter. It's the hours spent at the arena, the cost of cameras and lenses, travel, editing, website fees, insurance, and the time spent sorting through thousands of images so riders can relive those moments.

When paid images are screenshotted instead of purchased, it takes away from what allows me to keep showing up at these events and continue doing what I love and supporting a community that holds a very special place in my heart. Every purchase directly supports a small business and helps make it possible for me to be back at the next rodeo with my camera in hand.
