So my sunroom and bathroom were invaded by a swarm of tiny moths tonight.

If my neighbors were looking in, they got a free comedy show of me stalking from room to room with a broom and Clorox wipes like a giant, uncoordinated cat on a mission. Really hoping everyone had their blinds closed.

Trying to get a little writing done tonight, but my mouse has been claimed by upper management.

She has no idea what I’m working on. She has no relevant qualifications. She is contributing nothing to the project, other than being a damned adorable menace.

She is so cute. I almost don't have the heart to move her.

Outside doing my doggie dooty duty when I suddenly realized… something smells GOOD.

I stood there for a second wondering if my brain had slid sideways. This is not generally the portion of my yard associated with pleasant fragrances. Then I looked up.

This glorious monster of a vine I've been babying has exploded in tiny white flowers—and they smell amazing. Google photos said they are clematis.

Nature apparently said, "Here. This should help with the dog p**p."

I hit 23K on the new book today! (I almost gave away the title just then. Not yet! My Patreon folks get to keep that secret a little longer.) I'm almost a quarter of the way through—I think—of the book.

And it has taken me this far into the book for the two timelines to ALMOST cross. There’s a hint for you.

Here’s my question for readers: If both timelines are engaging on their own, how long are you willing to wait to discover exactly how they’re connected? At what point—if any—would you start getting impatient, or even DNF?

I’d like to think readers will be invested enough in both stories to enjoy the ride, but now I’m curious:

A. I’ll wait as long as both stories hold my attention.
B. I need some early clues, but not the full connection.
C. By the 25% mark, I need to see where this is going.
D. Dual timelines aren’t really my thing.

I'm wearing a witchy dress to work today because tonight I’m going to see the original Practical Magic in the theater! When I bought my ticket, our Decatur theater had sold exactly three seats. THREE.

Surely this town has more witches than that. Maybe sales will pick up at the last minute?

Either way, tonight I'll be celebrating midnight margaritas, sisterhood, and the Owens women on the big screen.

The full witch. All 1,300 pages of her. Less than ten bucks.

The Murphy Blackwell Chronicles—Sour, Sweet, Salty, and Bitter—are now together in ONE omnibus edition.

Follow witch Murphy Blackwell from her days of chaos to learning her true power, a war with the Stygian coven, and a fight across the veil into the Otherworld, where the gods make the rules, and even the truth is tinged with lies.

Full transparency: this was a spontaneous decision. I put the whole thing together this afternoon, and yes, that means the cover is a quick one I threw together myself in Canva. No fancy design team, no AI, just me and way too many browser tabs open. It's not winning any awards, but it's mine, and it gets the job done until I have time (and budget) for something snazzier.

If you've been meaning to start this series or you're ready to binge all four books back-to-back, this is the way to do it. One book. One click. One witch who refuses to lose.

First simmer pot of summerween. Orange peels, apple, cinnamon, rosemary, and a little tea called Bela Lugosi’s Ashes, because everyday ingredients weren't sufficiently weird for my purposes.

Now the house smells like autumn, I’ve got a true crime drama playing, and Bela Lugosi is gently simmering on my stove.

All very normal Saturday stuff.

(Swipe for proof that I did not actually desecrate Bela Lugosi.)

A quiet night at the ballpark is still a good night when the Trash Pandas are playing. Bonus points because it's Book Night!
