Last weekend, the Morgan County Jail welcomed a special group of local volunteers and missionaries from the Bahamas for a day of ministry, encouragement, and fellowship.
The group spent time visiting with inmates, sharing their faith, offering encouragement, and reminding those housed in our facility that their past does not have to define their future.
They also went above and beyond by preparing and providing a meal for the entire inmate population.
The impact of their visit was incredible:

I am grateful to these volunteers and missionaries for giving their time, resources, and compassion to minister to those in our custody.
The mission of a jail is certainly about safety, security, and accountability—but we are always thankful for opportunities that also encourage positive change, hope, and a better path forward.
