Working hard, getting ready for the Stone Mountain Park Yellow Daisy festival - happening the weekend after Labor Day!!!
Got a wild hair, found some cute retro Halloween decor items— and set off last week with crafting friends Lori Rhodes and Doris Luttrell to find some things to repurpose! I WISH I had taken a “before” photo!!! I’ll
Caption what the things used to be.
Haven’t ever had a lot of Halloween things— but these were too
Cute to pass up. So—- I’ll have an entire shelf of just Halloween and Fall things!
Also got a wild hair and made up every single heart shaped jello mold that I had on hand! These were made from
Scrap pieces of a very vintage flower
Patch quilt top
That great great aunt Cora made back in the 1930’s. Mother finished the quilt- but made it smaller to be a wall hanging. She sent me home with the left overs— and well! This was the result of most of the smallest scraps! Some I couldn’t use— as it actually had flowers in the same of a swat-iska… giving an indication of the fabric being pre WW2… the whole thing was also completely hand sewn. Used some of the oldest buttons that I had to decorate them. The single one shown… is staying in my own kitchen :$

The next time I can’t find a pair of scissors at home… I just need to go out to the trailer and dig them out of my checkout stand ha ha! I have cleaned them all up and I actually threw away two pairs!
Last day at the Gatlinburg Craftsmen's Fair! (Last day for me that is!) Booth 1308 at the back!

Tomorrow starts the N.E.A.C.A. Spring show at the VBC in Huntsville! Hours are 9-6 Friday and Saturday, 12-5 on Sunday.
I may be frazzled by door opening time… as you’d think after 21 years of doing shows— I’d be rather adept at booth set up and not forget too much. Au contraire! I’ve forgotten my change, my iPad, signs… the risers for my tables and a certain tablecloth or two. But today… I forgot an entire main table! So. Emily and I will be there bright and early to fix that!
Thankful for my sister Penny who helped me get set up quickly!
The show is in the south hall— so it’s to the left — and our booths, while still at a door— may be the last booths you come to!
The show is free admission, altho the VBC charges $15 (card only) for parking. Vendors inside take cash and cars. City parking is $5 and a short walk—- and you’d be able to hit Panoply too!
Extra photo of a brand new Robin, not quite ready to fly, still molting , decided he could fly just high enough to get inside my camper shell haha. Made it out on its own. Whew.
