I remember the first day of school for each of these children—and for Mom, too. Not a word of English was spoken, but WOW, did they love the garden!

Safe places = happy faces. 😊

Season after season, they helped us plant, paint and grow. Today, every one of the children is an honor student thriving in school. Mom has a great job as a bilingual community coordinator—and each and every day, they still come back to the garden. 🙌🙏

We are the folks we’ve been waiting for!
