Colorado families already face enormous challenges accessing the critical therapies that help our children not just survive, but thrive. If Governor Polis and don't stop working to cut services for children with autism the consequences will be dire indeed.
Parents, advocates warn of dire consequences from proposed budget cuts to therapy for kids with autism βWe're asking the administration to find another solution that doesn't balance the budget on the backs of kids with autism.β

Governor Polis and cannot continue to unfairly single out critical therapies for autism and balance the budget on the backs of some of our most vulnerable children.
Colorado families, providers push back on Polis' Medicaid cuts for autism services Colorado families and behavioral health providers are pushing back against the governor's proposed budget cuts, warning the plan could drastically reduce access to autism therapies and other services for children with developmental disabilities.

A little different content this time, but important content.
Join COABA's conference committee in a food drive for a local food bank. We know that this is a huge area of need for Colorado and our entire country. We want to be in action and use our conference to make a difference.
Bring one item, bring two, bring any you have. We will take all donations post conference to a metro area food bank, from the entire COABA community.
We invite you to join us in making our conference and opportunity to make a difference. Any action - not matter how small - has an impact.

Hi everyone,
My name is Abby Trotz, and Iβm honored to be nominated for the COABA Board of Directors! Since 2014, Iβve dedicated my career to supporting children with autism, and since becoming a BCBA in 2018, Iβve grown passionate about strengthening our Colorado ABA community through advocacy, ethics, and education. My goal is to help COABA continue fostering a community where clinicians and families alike feel supported, informed, and empowered. If any of the below initiatives resonate with you, please vote for me!
1. Advocating for practitioner experiences - addressing clinician burnout through recognizing lived experiences and advocating for public policy changes that support sustainable, ethical practice.
2. Advocating for our clients and families - amplifying the voices of those who cannot advocate for themselves and helping families navigate systems of support across the lifespan
3. Commitment to training - I am a firm believer that individuals thrive based on the education and training experiences theyβve received. I am dedicated to promoting ethical supervision, accessible high-quality CEUs, and ongoing dialogue about barriers to professional growth
COABA voting is now open β Iβd be honored to have your support. Please take a moment to cast your vote today!
