Writers - From Invisible to Influential
For those who spend hours creating content and are never seen.
06/18/2026
The number of AI-generated books is exploding.
Not because millions of people suddenly became writers.
Because the cost of creating content has collapsed.
Anyone can generate a book. Anyone can publish a book. Anyone can flood a marketplace.
And that's exactly why being human matters more than ever.
Readers aren't just looking for words.
They're looking for: • A unique perspective • Lived experience • Authentic stories • A voice they can trust
AI can generate content.
It can't live your life. It can't experience your heartbreak. It can't tell your story the way you can.
The writers who survive this shift won't be the ones who write the fastest.
They'll be the ones who build real relationships with readers.
In a world drowning in content, trust becomes the most valuable currency.
What do you think?
Will AI make it harder for human writers to stand out—or will authentic voices become even more valuable?
👇 Curious to hear your thoughts.

"So… What Is It You Actually Do Here?"
(Note: I did use AI to create the image.. a bit ironic?)
The Bobs have arrived. They're just not who you expected.
If you've seen Office Space, you remember the Bobs.
Two efficiency consultants. Matching khakis. Clipboard energy. They show up, pull employees into a conference room one by one, and ask the most quietly terrifying question in corporate history:
"What would you say… you do here?"
It was satire in 1999. It's a business model in 2026.
Except the Bobs aren't consultants anymore. They don't drink bad coffee in your breakroom or ask about your TPS reports. They don't need parking validation.
They're AI systems. And they're already in the building.
The awkward part? They're asking better questions than the original Bobs ever did.
The original Bobs mostly shuffled paper and justified their own existence. The new Bobs are actually doing the work — writing the code, summarizing the calls, generating the reports, analyzing the data, drafting the emails — and somewhere in between tasks, they're quietly logging: does this step require a human?
Spoiler: a lot of steps don't.
We're watching it happen in real time. Tech companies — the same ones that told us AI would "augment" workers — have laid off tens of thousands of people in the last 18 months. Not because business is bad. Because the math changed. One AI system doing the work of six engineers isn't a headline anymore. It's a quarterly earnings call talking point.
The robots aren't coming for your job. They already submitted their pull request.
And here's where it gets genuinely strange: unlike the Bobs — who were famously bad at their jobs — the AI Bobs are disturbingly good at theirs. They don't get distracted. They don't need one-on-ones. They don't have opinions about the office thermostat. They produce. Constantly. At scale. For fractions of the cost.
Which means the question isn't really "will AI take jobs?" — that ship has sailed, hit an iceberg, and the iceberg is also AI.
The real question is: what answer do you have ready when the new Bobs call you into the conference room?
Because "I handle the TPS reports" is not going to cut it.
The people who are thriving right now aren't the ones trying to out-produce AI. They're the ones who figured out what AI genuinely can't do — build real relationships, ask uncomfortable questions, navigate ambiguity, make judgment calls that require actual stakes, communicate in ways that feel human because they are.
In other words: the people who can articulate their value clearly, specifically, and fast.
Which, if you think about it, is exactly what the Bobs were asking all along.
We just never thought we'd have to take the question seriously.
Peter Gibbons got lucky. He didn't have to answer the Bobs — the building burned down. We probably shouldn't count on that.
The new efficiency review is happening whether you schedule it or not. The question is whether you're ready for it.
What is it you do here?
I write about the intersection of technology, work, and what it means to build something in an era when the rules keep changing. If this resonated, follow along — and let me know in the comments: what's your answer to the Bobs?

Nobody tells you this when you start writing online.
Visibility isn't about how good you write.
It's about how well you distribute.
You can write the most compelling article in the world and if it lives in one place — it dies in one place.
Here's what actually moves the needle:
One idea. Multiple formats.
That blog post? It's also 5 LinkedIn posts. A thread. A short reel script. A newsletter intro. Stop writing new things. Start going deeper on what you already wrote.
Your content has a shelf life — extend it.
Most writers post once and move on. The writers who grow post, then repost, repurpose, and re-angle the same idea 3 different ways to 3 different audiences.
The algorithm doesn't owe you anything.
But your audience does — if you show up consistently. Consistency beats talent every single time online.
The writers who are "getting seen" aren't necessarily better than you.
They just stopped treating their content like a one-night stand.

Now your turn.
Tell me honestly 👇
What's ONE piece of content you wrote that you were genuinely proud of — but it never got the attention it deserved?
Drop it below. Let's give it some eyes today.
Welcome. I'm glad you're here.
I created this group because I kept meeting writers who were doing everything right — and still being ignored.
Great writing. Real effort. Zero visibility.
And the frustrating part? It wasn't a talent problem. It was a being-seen problem.
So let me ask you something.
How many articles have you written that deserved more eyes?
How many threads died before they even had a chance?
How many times did you post something you were proud of... and hear crickets?
Yeah. Me too.
This group exists for one reason — to change that.
We're not here to talk about writing in theory. We're here to actually grow. To share what's working, learn from each other, and build the kind of audience that turns your words into income.
Short form. Long form. Doesn't matter. If you write and you want to be seen — you belong here.

To kick things off, drop a comment below and tell us two things:
✍🏾 What do you write about?
📍 Where are you trying to grow? (LinkedIn, Threads, a blog, all of the above?)
Let's get to know each other. The best communities start with real introductions.
