Goodbye Melvin and Max! I am so excited that you found a wonderful home together but we will miss you! We have been sooooo busy taking cats to and from spay and neuter appointments. I haven’t had much time to post. We have 2 kittens left. Kirby and Lampy are still available and will be ready for adoption after September 22nd.

I get asked about cats and house plants often. So here’s a list if you’re curious.

The following house plants are considered safe for cats.

Spider plant, Boston fern, Calathea, Christmas cactus, Areca palm, Cat grass (a good outlet for chewing)

These are very toxic to cats.

Lilies (true lilies and daylilies) — even pollen or vase water can cause fatal kidney failure in cats
• Sago palm — all parts, especially seeds, cause liver failure
• Autumn crocus — severe GI issues, organ damage

Moderately toxic

Photos, Philodendron, Peace Lily, Aloe Vera, Snake Plant, ZZ Plant, English Ivy, Tulips, Oleander.

I was in a pickle two weeks ago when I had some sick kittens. Our vet couldn’t get us in, the local emergency vets were going to charge $750 just to be seen. So luckily we found this option. I did a video call with a veterinarian and got the medications they needed very quickly. You can have them sent locally or they can ship. I am not affiliated with them in any way. Just thought I’d put the info out there. You pay an annual fee then can message with vet techs or video call a vet 4 times a year.

Congratulations to the Steel Magnolias litter for all being adopted! 👏🏼 Ouiser & Clairee were adopted together. Then Truvy and Spud are in a home together too. So happy for them!

Still available…..Mish-Mash, Kirby, Toaster and Lampy. They were struggling with upper respiratory infections but I got some medicine for them last week and they’re doing much better now. 🧡

The two little black males are doing so well! They are almost 2 pounds already. I think they’ll be longer haired. I’d love to see them be adopted together. 🖤

I am always looking for donations. I have depleted most of my donations with the kittens being ill. I always need blankets, towels, beds, food, toys, paper towels, baby wipes but most of all monetary donations are much needed. Check the comments for ways to donate. 🫶🏼

So long story short….one of the cats we helped catch, so we could TNR, had kittens the same day we caught her. Surprise! We named her Daisy, she had twin boys. She is the best mom! These chubby little boys need names. Any ideas? One of the boys has a little bit of white on him. Can’t wait to see what color their eyes are. 😍

TNR stands for “Trap, Neuter, Release”. It’s a humane way to get community cats fixed, so they can be released back to their home.

We have some kittens looking for homes. 🥰 They’ll be ready in a couple weeks. They’ll be fixed, microchipped, have some shots. Message me with any questions.

People ask me all the time why I do this? This is my reason…..I got Truvy girl to purr yesterday! Winning the affection of a feral cat gives me such a big dose of dopamine. 🩷 helping cats find homes. Helping people find companions. Now someone adopt her so I’m not tempted to keep her! 🥹
