Member Notice: Ceiling Painting

As part of our ongoing facility improvements, painting will begin on the fitness floor tomorrow morning, Wednesday, October 6, and is expected to be completed on or before Friday, October 8.

Please be aware that the paint being used may produce a noticeable odor while the work is underway. To help minimize the odor throughout the facility, our HVAC system will be temporarily shut down during painting, and exterior doors will be opened to provide additional ventilation and help move fumes outside. We anticipate the affected area to be predominately the lobby and Movement Studio.

We understand that some individuals may be more sensitive to strong odors. If you are sensitive to paint smells, you may want to consider adjusting the timing of your visit while this work is taking place.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we continue making improvements to our Y. We’re excited about the progress and look forward to sharing the completed space with you!

Yesterday was World Teachers’ Day, and we’re celebrating some of the current and retired teachers right here in our Y community! 🍎

These familiar faces have helped countless students learn, grow, and believe in themselves. We’re so grateful for the patience, care, and dedication they’ve shared throughout their careers—and continue to bring to our community.

Join us in giving these wonderful people some well-deserved love! 💛

The floor is buzzing with renovations- a blend of electric work and painting preparations are underway. New flooring, lighting, and more will set the stage for all new cardio and strength equipment that's on the way!

October 3-14: Temporary equipment setup available in the gym
October 15-16: Equipment unavailable for final preparations
The new and improved Dover YMCA Fitness Center will officially open its doors on October 17!

No school? No problem! Join us at the Dover Y for a full day of fun during our School’s Out Program! Much like a summer camp day, students will enjoy physical activities, indoor swim, enrichment activities in art, STEM, literacy, math, & more!

Meet Madison Smith, our Youth Development Coordinator! Madison plays a big role in creating meaningful experiences for children and families at the Dover Y. She oversees Kids Club, Youth Sports, Youth Enrichment, and many of our family activities—helping bring fun, engaging opportunities to life for our community. 💙

“For 5 years, the Y has been a second home for me. My journey actually started right here at Camp Voyager as a Junior Counselor where I discovered how much fun there is when working with kids. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to grow and continue doing what I love most.
Some of my favorite parts of working at the Y are creating exciting programs, bringing ideas to life, and making sure our kids have a place where they can be themselves and try new things.
Stay tuned for what's in store for this upcoming session, I am looking forward to seeing you there!”
