Some people have gotten so used to carrying everything alone that they stop asking for help altogether.
They tell themselves:
"I'll deal with it."

"Nobody would understand anyway."
But the truth is, nobody should have to suffer in silence.

At Shining Light In Darkness, we want every survivor to know this: You matter. Your story matters. And what happened to you does not define your worth.
You deserve to be seen.
You deserve to be heard.
You deserve support, healing, and hope.
If today feels heavy, please know you are not alone.

Some people see a table and brochures.
We see conversations, smiles, trust, and moments that remind families they are not alone.
This is what community looks like.
Real people. Real connection. Real healing.
Every outreach event is another chance to help someone feel seen, heard, and supported.

Every BreakFREE Bag represents more than essentials.
It represents dignity, safety, and the reminder that survivors are not alone.

This is what community support looks like in action.

Behind every strong woman is often a reason she chose to fight for others.
Flo is not just serving the community through Shining Light In Darkness. She is also showing her grandchildren what compassion, love, strength, and healing look like in real life.
This is how change begins.
One family. One conversation. One act of care at a time.
