Some people have gotten so used to carrying everything alone that they stop asking for help altogether.

Our Toddler Advocate is teaching an important lesson early:

Kind words matter.

The way children learn to speak to others today helps shape the relationships they build tomorrow. Kindness, empathy, communication, and respect all start small.

It represents dignity, safety, and the reminder that survivors are not alone.

Inside each bag are items many of us take for granted, but for someone fleeing violence, they can mean comfort during one of the hardest moments of their life.

Flo is not just serving the community through Shining Light In Darkness. She is also showing her grandchildren what compassion, love, strength, and healing look like in real life.
