“Hunter” 24” x 24” Paper Collage. First Friday is over and now it’s back to the studio for cleanup and a reset to start next month’s projects!

Ugh! Sometimes when creating collage papers from magazines, you end up with BOTH sides exactly what you need. A decision must be made…..(closes eyes and points)
After First Friday it’s time for the unfun task of cleaning up the studio and prepping for the next piece. Decisions must be made…..four weeks goes by fast!

New piece for last nights First Friday! ‘Yellowstone’ 8” x 10” paper collage. There was just too much light to not get some type of glare (when will I learn to photograph BEFORE framing?) - the month was too busy to create anything else with our road trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons - we’ll see what September brings!

First Friday at Street SmARTS Gallery is this Friday, Aug 7 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. AND we’ll also be celebrating the gallery’s one year anniversary. Come join us and mingle with the gallery artists
These photos from our Grand Teton/ Yellowstone roadtrip were the inspiration for this month’s new collage I’ll be displaying at the gallery. But no peeking just yet….you’ll have to wait until Friday! streetsmartsgallery

Thanks to family and friends who came by Street SmARTS Gallery to see my Fragmented Wilds collages this evening! These four pieces were purchased and found their forever homes ❤️❤️❤️ But don’t worry if you couldn’t make it out this evening - our next First Friday is August 7th streetsmartsgallery
My goal was to complete four pieces before First Friday but looks like I’ll only get two done (obsessed way too long on the sea turtle) …applying the leveling gel to this piece then some heavy matte ….and then frame. Even when you’re done you’re not really done done! See you at streetsmartsgallery
