Welcome newest disabled BKR baby, Lola😻
Lola is paralyzed in her hind legs and incontinent. We don’t know why, but she will be seeing our neurologist to hopefully get some answers🙏
Her hind legs have no muscle and no feeling or response. So it is likely either congenital or a spinal injury that occurred when she was very young.
She came to us all the way from Montgomery, TX! This is the first kitten who has ever come to us by plane✈️😆 And that is thanks to the amazing transport group SWAP Transportation and Rescue and amazing volunteers 😻🙏
The stars really aligned to get this girl here to give her the care and life she deserves to have🥹💫 And it took a village to come together to make it all happen!💪
She’s a tiny girl weighing in at barely 1 lb, but has a big personality, big purr, and big love🥹😻
I’m so glad she’s here and to be on this journey with her🥰 You are so loved, Lola!!😻

Moira is the sweetest cuddle bug! Loves pets and is the ultimate lap kitty. She’s the happiest in your lap being pet constantly, and drools of happiness. She is the more outgoing one and is friendly to anyone she meets! M
Delia is the most playful kitty! Just loves playing fetch and playing with her mice toys. When she’s not playing, she’ll be laying next to you enjoying being by your side along with pets. She’s chatty and loves to talk to you! She takes a bit more time to warm up to you, but is so sweet once she’s comfortable!
Moira & Delia are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for FIV and FeLV, and ready for their forever home!

Hope had her neurology appointment with Dr. O’Neill at Metropolitan Animal Specialty Hospital this past week!
Her x-rays confirmed the abnormality in her thoracic spine (which we already knew about from her first neuro assessment), but no other spinal abnormalities or issues!👏 Her bloodwork all came back normal🙏
And she was cleared for spay and adoption!!😻🥹
Dr. O’Neill suspects that her neurological symptoms are likely due to malnutrition at a young age (she was the most emaciated 1 week old I’ve ever encountered🥺) and possibly lack of proper nutrition en utero, which caused some parts of her central nervous system to not form properly.
She has ataxia (wobbly movements) and tremors (shaking). She also has impaired sciatic nerve function in her hind legs, which is the cause of her adorable swinging wobbly walk😆
But her neuro symptoms are not progressive and do not impair her quality of life! She is a happy, healthy, normal kitten with some extra quirks that make her extra special🥹
We will be scheduling her spay and will start accepting adoption applications for Hope soon! So be on the lookout for that post😻
Hope’s neurology bill was $1000 yesterday🫣 But it was essential for us to know the extent of her neurological condition before spaying her or adopting her out🙏
