Join us 17–18 June 2027 in Copenhagen, Denmark, for a boutique gathering of lighting design professionals — capped at fewer than 500 attendees for real connection and thought-provoking conversation.

We’re looking for energetic, engaging speakers ready to share their stories on creativity, commerciality, and collaboration. If you’ve got something to say, we want to hear it.

You voted, and the results are in — this year’s Chase the Dark theme is Unexpected Light!

On 18 September, just before the Autumnal Equinox, lighting designers, artists, and enthusiasts everywhere will bring some Unexpected Light into the darkening year — finding beauty in overlooked objects, ordinary places, and surprising events.

What does that mean, and how should it show up in your creative project? That’s entirely up to YOU! 👊 Individuals, small groups, big crowds — there’s no minimum or maximum for who’s welcome to take part.

Applications are OPEN for the Emerging Lighting Designer Initiative at IALD Enlighten Asia 2026 in Singapore!

If you’re within your first seven years as a working lighting designer and haven’t attended an Enlighten conference before, you could be sponsored for a complimentary full conference registration — plus recognition as an Emerging Lighting Design Professional.
