An Important Announcement About the Future of Our Kennel
After a lot of thought and many mixed emotions, I have decided that Vom Osuna K9s will soon be changing its name.
I know our current name has become recognized and trusted, which has made this an incredibly difficult decision. I have spent years building this program, raising and training our dogs, supporting our puppy families, and creating the reputation connected to this name.
However, the name Vom Osuna K9s was chosen by my ex-husband... Keeping it means remaining attached to a painful chapter of my life and continually being reminded of things i would like to remain in the past. It also gives recognition to his name when the work, dedication, sacrifice, and love behind this program comes from me.
I have realized that healing sometimes means letting go of things that no longer represent who you are, even when you worked incredibly hard to build them.
Although our name will be changing, our program will not. This will still be the same family, the same dogs, the same health standards, the same careful puppy matching, and the same lifelong support for our puppy families. Only the name will be different.
We will be redesigning our Logo, business cards, website etc. Before announcing our new name.
The new name will be something meaningful, something that represents my family, our strength, our healing, and the future we are building together.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our program and trusted me with your puppies throughout the years. I hope you will continue supporting us as we begin this new chapter. The reputation was never created by the name itself, it was created through the love, hard work, and dedication behind it.
It is time for our kennel’s name to represent the person and family who are truly building it. ❤️🐾
Our new name will be announced soon!

🐾 IMPORTANT TRAINING POLICY UPDATE 🐾
Due to an increase in last-minute cancellations and missed appointments, I will be updating my payment and rescheduling policies moving forward.
My time is valuable, and when a training session is reserved for you, that time is specifically set aside for you and your dog. Last-minute cancellations often leave me unable to fill that spot with another client.
Effective immediately:
🐕 Training Packages:
All package sessions must be paid in full at the time of scheduling.
🐕 Consultations:
Consultation sessions must also be paid in full upfront.
🐕 Individual Training Sessions:
A 50% deposit is required upfront to reserve your appointment. The remaining 50% is due at the time of your session.
📅 Rescheduling Policy:
Each scheduled session may be rescheduled ONE time. If you need to cancel or reschedule that session again, the session/payment or deposit will be forfeited and a new session and deposit will need to be booked.
🌧️ A little FYI about Oregon weather:
Rain is NOT considered a reasonable reason to cancel a training session. 😂 We live in Oregon — if we canceled every time it rained, we'd never get anything done!
There is absolutely nothing wrong with training your dog in the rain. In fact, real life doesn't only happen when it's 70° and sunny. Training in different weather and environments can be a valuable part of teaching your dog to listen and work with you regardless of what's happening around them. ☔🐕🦺
Of course, genuinely unsafe or extreme weather and true emergencies will always be handled reasonably on a case-by-case basis.
I appreciate everyone who respects my time, shows up ready to work, and puts the effort into helping their dogs succeed. ❤️🐾 These policies allow me to keep my schedule fair and available for clients who are committed to training.
⚖️ THE PEOPLE vs. RESPONSIBLE BREEDERS
Now appearing in the Court of Facebook, where feelings are evidence, memes are research and the loudest person automatically becomes an expert.
Attorney: State your occupation.
Breeder: Preservation breeder.
Attorney: So—you breed puppies for money?
Breeder: Absolutely. I recently spent $4,000 to produce $3,000 worth of puppies. I’ll be ordering my yacht as soon as I finish scrubbing diarrhea off the laundry-room wall.
Attorney: Shelters are overflowing because people like you keep producing dogs!
Breeder: Of course. My health-tested puppies—sold with lifetime support and a return-to-breeder agreement—personally drove themselves to every shelter in America.
Meanwhile, Billy Bob’s fourth accidental litter is listed online beside a used refrigerator, but apparently he’s just an innocent victim of unfenced love.
Attorney: Everyone should stop shopping and adopt mutts!
Breeder: Brilliant. Let’s stop deliberately breeding healthy dogs to written standards and allow genetics to operate like an unsupervised trailer-park reunion.
Attorney: Purebred dogs aren’t necessary.
Breeder: Neither is Wi-Fi, but I bet you’d start swinging a folding chair if yours disappeared.
Attorney: Breed standards are just vanity.
Breeder: Yes, those silly little details like structure, sound movement, predictable size, stable temperament and the ability to perform the job the breed was created to do. Completely useless—until your “small, calm apartment dog” reaches 87 pounds, eats the drywall and attempts to herd the upstairs neighbors.
Attorney: Mixed-breed dogs make wonderful pets!
Breeder: They absolutely can. Nobody said otherwise. But if every responsible breeder quits, eventually every dog becomes a brown mystery named Buddy.
Buddy’s DNA results will say 6% Chihuahua, 14% Husky, 20% livestock guardian, 9% terrier and 51% “close the gate and pray.”
Attorney: If everyone adopted, shelters would eventually be empty.
Breeder: Wonderful! And after responsible breeders are gone, where will future dogs come from?
Attorney: Shelters.
Breeder: And where will shelters get them?
Attorney: From people who breed dogs.
Breeder: So your master plan requires people to keep breeding dogs irresponsibly so you’ll have dogs to rescue—while attacking the people breeding them responsibly?
Attorney: That’s not what I said.
Breeder: It’s exactly what you said. You just wrapped it in a bumper sticker and hoped nobody would apply basic arithmetic.
Attorney: Responsible breeders should simply stop.
Breeder: Then say goodbye to predictable breeds. No more carefully preserved Labradors, Poodles, German Shepherds, Chinese Cresteds or hundreds of other breeds developed for specific purposes.
Attorney: We’ll still have dogs.
Breeder: Certainly. We’ll have Buddy—part hound, part cattle dog, part sofa assassin and entirely capable of clearing a six-foot fence before your morning coffee.
Attorney: So you hate rescue dogs?
Breeder: No. That tired accusation is what people use when their argument has collapsed like a discount lawn chair at a family reunion.
Rescue a dog. Purchase from a responsible breeder. Do both. Just stop pretending one good choice requires publicly flogging the other.
Attorney: I’m offended.
Breeder: Being offended isn’t the same as being correct. It just means the truth arrived without bubble wrap.
⚖️ CASE DISMISSED
Reason: The prosecution presented one slogan, three memes, no understanding of genetics and a halo tilted so far sideways it nearly struck the court reporter.
Adopt responsibly. Shop responsibly. Commit for life.
And please stop acting like purebred dogs grow wild behind the shelter and are harvested every spring by rescue fairies. 😂🐾 ( author unknown)

Shyla is the perfect combination of beauty, brains, energy, and heart. She is an incredibly sweet, affectionate girl with a fun personality that makes it nearly impossible not to fall in love with her. She loves being close to her people, is always ready to hand out kisses, and has an adorable signature head tilt whenever she sees or hears something that catches her interest or when she is watching tv lol
Shyla is a medium-drive, high-energy female who loves having something to do. She is intelligent, curious, eager to engage, and enthusiastic about training and new experiences. Despite her energy, she has an excellent off-switch and understands when it is time to settle, relax, and simply enjoy being part of the family. That balance between enthusiasm and the ability to come back down is something we highly value in our dogs.
Her temperament is one of the things we love most about her. Shyla is loving, loyal, protective, funny, and courageous. She is confident and devoted to her family while maintaining the affectionate, social nature we want in a well-rounded German Shepherd. She does well with other dogs and enjoys people of all ages, including children. She is the type of dog who can be playful and energetic one minute and curled up soaking up affection the next.
Shyla is also a beautiful example of the West German Showline German Shepherd, with gorgeous black and red pigmentation, a feminine yet substantial head, beautiful coat, strong bone, and balanced overall conformation. She has an athletic, functional build that complements both her appearance and active personality.
Her intelligence, trainability, and stable temperament are reflected in the titles she has earmed which include: VHMA CGC CGCU CGCA TKN TKI TKA
Above everything else, Shyla is simply a wonderful family dog. Her loyalty, sweetness, goofy personality, curiosity, courage, and unmistakable little head tilt make her completely unforgettable. She represents so much of what we strive for at Vom Osuna K9s—beautiful structure, sound temperament, trainability, versatility, and a German Shepherd that is just as wonderful to live with as she is to look at.

Arrko is the kind of German Shepherd who truly embodies temperament, beauty, and versatility all in one. He combines the drive and athleticism expected from a well-bred working breed with the stable temperament and dependable off-switch needed to live as a trusted family companion and working service dog.
Arrko has a solid medium working drive and energy with a strong desire to engage with his person. He is intelligent, eager to work, confident, and highly trainable. When it is time to work, he is focused and enthusiastic, but he also understands how to settle and relax when the job is done. This balance has allowed him to successfully work as a service dog while also earning several titles. His titles include: BH IGP1 VHMA CGC CGCU CGCA TKN TKI TKA
Temperament is one of Arrko's greatest strengths. He is stable, confident, social, and clear-headed, with an excellent ability to adapt to different environments and situations. He is good with other dogs and comfortable around people of all ages, from children to adults. He is affectionate with his family while maintaining the confidence and protective characteristics of the German Shepherd breed.
What we value most about Arrko is his versatility. He can work, train, travel, interact appropriately with the public, coexist with other dogs, and then come home and simply be part of the family.
