🚨 PAY ATTENTION CHURCHILL COUNTY β€” THESE NEXT MEETINGS ARE BIG ONES!
There is A LOT happening with industrial development right now, and these meetings need public attendance.

πŸ“… OCTOBER 14 β€” PLANNING COMMISSION, 6:00 PM

ZAYO FIBER INFRASTRUCTURE β€” Open-access fiber communications infrastructure proposed at I-80 & Nightingale Road.

NEW DATA CENTER & INDUSTRIAL REGULATIONS β€” The county is considering new requirements and standards specifically addressing industrial development and data storage/data processing facilities.

CHIP / CHURCHILL HAZEN INDUSTRIAL PARK GID β€” Planning Commission will review the proposed GID service plan and make its recommendation.

⚠️ CHIP IS ALSO ON THE VERY NEXT DAY.

πŸ“… OCTOBER 15 β€” COUNTY COMMISSION

CHIP / CHURCHILL HAZEN INDUSTRIAL PARK GID β€” The County Commission will hold the public hearing on the proposed GID and its service plan, including the infrastructure and utility services intended to support major industrial development.

If you're concerned about CHIP, please attend BOTH meetings. Planning Commission makes its recommendation on October 14, and the County Commission takes it up October 15.

πŸ“… NOVEMBER 12 β€” PLANNING COMMISSION, 6:00 PM

πŸ”‹βš‘ EAGLE ROCK IS BACK β€” AND NOW IT INCLUDES A DATA CENTER.

The proposal includes:

➑️ 37 MW Data Center
➑️ 110 MWh Battery Energy Storage System
➑️ 37 MW Solar Facility

HERE'S THE BIG PICTURE: THESE PROJECTS AND INFRASTRUCTURE ARE ALL IN THE SAME GENERAL AREA.

Fiber. Power. Battery storage. Solar generation. A 37 MW data center. Industrial infrastructure. New industrial regulations. CHIP.

They may appear on different agendas and different dates, but they are all in the same area.

Don't skip one meeting because you plan to attend another. We need people at ALL of them.

πŸ“’ OCTOBER 14. OCTOBER 15. NOVEMBER 12.

PUT THEM ON YOUR CALENDAR.

Show up. Listen. Ask questions. Read the packets. Make public comment.

These decisions will shape Churchill County for decades. The time to pay speak up is BEFORE the decisions are made.

Feelings are running high. Opinions are everywhere. So let's do something with all that energy: VOTE! πŸ—³οΈ

Whatever you believe and whoever you're backing, your voice only counts if it makes it to the ballot box. Come join us October 17 as we get out and remind our neighbors that early voting is here!

A few ideas for signs:

"Vote now, nap later."
"Little line, big impact. Early voting is open!"
"Democracy is like a group project, but your vote actually counts."
"Every vote is a tiny act of hope."
"Small town, big voice. Vote early!"
"Complaining is free. Voting is better."
"Vote now, gloat later."
"Vote early. Avoid the crowds. Go home. Pajamas."
Early voting: the introvert's dream

CVS Does not support Fallon Indivisible in any manner. Our Indivisible team member made a courtesy visit to let the manager know we would be on the sidewalk in that area: some of the parking may be available. I apologize for the misunderstanding and the for the tension this has caused between CVS and their customers. Steve Wolgast
