Help Us, Help Them Dog Rescue

Honestly, this is heartbreaking.

Myself and our volunteers absolutely bust our asses trying to do things differently.

We put HOURS into coming up with unique fundraisers. We try to make people laugh. We try to keep this page fun and positive. We try to give people something they actually WANT to participate in instead of constantly filling your feed with sad stories and desperate posts about everything we need.

We could post, “We’re down to our last bag of food.”

We could post, “We have another vet bill we can’t afford.”

We could post every single emergency, every expense and every stressful thing happening behind the scenes.

But we don’t want that to be the only reason people support us.

We would rather WORK for it.

And that is exactly what we’re doing with our Adopt a Mushroom, Save a Pup fundraiser.

Every single one of these mushrooms is handmade. Every one has its own ridiculous name, personality and adoption post. Our volunteers have spent countless hours creating, painting and decorating them. Then we spend even more time photographing them, writing their ridiculous backstories and introducing them individually because we wanted this fundraiser to be FUN.

And some of these posts are reaching 60, 70, 80 people.

That’s it.

Meanwhile, we all know how quickly the sad, angry and negative s**t spreads across Facebook.

So today, I’m asking for something that costs absolutely nothing.

HELP US BEAT THE ALGORITHM.

If you see one of our mushroom posts, LIKE IT. COMMENT ON IT. SHARE IT.

Even if you don’t want a mushroom.
Even if you can’t donate a dollar.

A comment helps. A share helps. Tagging someone who would get a kick out of these helps.

Because behind every ridiculous mushroom is a group of volunteers working their asses off trying to raise money so we can continue helping dogs.

🍄 WANT TO HELP US HELP THEM? 🍄

Every mushroom currently up for adoption is posted inside the Help Us Help Them Dog Rescue Fundraising Group.

PLEASE DO NOT COMMENT ON THESE PHOTOS SAYING YOU WANT TO ADOPT ONE.

To adopt a mushroom, you have to join the fundraising group. It literally takes two seconds to request to join.

Once you’re in, every mushroom has its own individual post with its ridiculous bio, measurements, adoption fee, pickup information and everything else you need to know.

Find your favorite little weirdo and comment directly on THEIR individual post inside the fundraising group to claim them.

We’re trying to make fundraising FUN.

We’re doing the work.

We’re just asking you to help people SEE it. ❤️🍄🐾

🚨🍄 ADOPT A MUSHROOM SAVE A PUP HAS OFFICIALLY GONE FERAL 🍄🚨

Our little mushroom fundraiser has officially gone to the DARK SIDE 🎃👻😂

PLEASE SHARE & WARN YOUR FRIENDS because apparently spending the entire summer being cute little garden mushrooms wasn’t enough

They discovered HALLOWEEN

And now they’re taking over 😂🍄

🐾🍄 ADOPT A MUSHROOM SAVE A PUP: HALLOWEEN EDITION 🍄🐾

Swipe through the photos because these are just SOME of the Halloween mushrooms currently up for adoption and we have even more coming throughout the weekend!

We’ve got ghosts, goblins, witches, black cats, pumpkins, creepy creatures, glitter, chaos and even FRANKENSTEIN HIMSELF 🎃👻

Every single mushroom is handcrafted from cement, sealed for all four seasons and individually hand-painted and decorated by our volunteers. No two are exactly alike!

But because apparently we are incapable of hosting a normal fundraiser, we took it one step further 😂

Every mushroom has its own NAME, ridiculous BACKSTORY and PERSONALITY

Some are creepy. Some are adorable. Some sparkle.

And some honestly should probably come with a warning label 😂

❤️🐾 BUT HERE’S THE MOST IMPORTANT PART

Every mushroom adopted helps us continue helping dogs who need us

The money raised directly supports the dogs in our care, helps cover the cost of our rescue and outreach efforts and supports our trapping division as we work to safely bring lost and displaced dogs home

So when you adopt one of these ridiculous little cement creatures, you’re not just taking home a mushroom

You’re helping us save a pup ❤️🐾

👉 WANT TO SEE THEM ALL?

Join the Help Us Help Them Dog Rescue Fundraising Group !

That is where every mushroom is posted individually with its name, ridiculous story, adoption fee and all payment and pickup information

🎃 New mushrooms are being posted throughout the weekend through October 4th
🍄 Mushrooms are available exclusively through our fundraising group
📍 Pickup near 8 Mile & Woodward
🐾 All adopted mushrooms must be picked up within 7 days

And trust me

YOU WANT TO JOIN THE GROUP

Because we still have A LOT more mushrooms coming 😂🍄

See one you love in these photos? Tell us which one in the comments 👇

Then SHARE this post and invite your friends to join the madness

Because apparently saving dogs now involves cement mushrooms with extensive personal histories

And honestly?

We’re just going with it 😂

🐾🍄 ADOPT A MUSHROOM SAVE A PUP 🍄🐾

👑💕 PENELOPE IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED! 💕👑

And just like that, another one of our Bridgerton babies has found her Happily Ever After! 🥹🏡🐾

Our sweet little Penelope is officially HOME and we couldn’t be happier for her and her amazing new family! ❤️

Just LOOK at her surrounded by her new family! 🥹💕 I think it’s safe to say this little girl is going to be VERY loved and probably just a tiny bit spoiled. 😂🐾❤️

From one of five tiny babies who came into rescue needing lots of love and care to standing in the middle of her very own family... THIS is why we do what we do. 🥹❤️

Of course, we have to give another HUGE thank you to their incredible foster mom, Angela, who took in Mama Roxy AND all five babies and somehow survived the absolute POOPAPALOOZA that followed. 😂💩

Between sick puppies, medications, nonstop cleaning, laundry and more p**p than any human should ever have to see, this litter definitely kept her busy. 😂 Angela, thank you for loving these babies through all of it and getting them healthy, happy and ready for families of their very own. ❤️🐾

And THANK YOU to everyone who donated supplies, supported this little family and helped us along the way. Every single one of you played a part in getting Penelope to this moment. ❤️

Now help us congratulate PENELOPE AND HER NEW FAMILY!! 👑💕🏡

Happy tails, sweet girl! We have a feeling you’re going to be running that household in no time. 😂💕🐾

👑💕 ELOISE IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED! 💕👑

Another Bridgerton baby has officially found her Happily Ever After! 🥹🏡🐾

Our sweet little girl Eloise is officially HOME and we couldn’t be happier for her and her amazing family! ❤️

Just look how cute she looks with her two new daddies! 🥹💕 Talk about one lucky little girl... we have a feeling Eloise is about to have both of them wrapped around her tiny little paw in no time. 😂🐾❤️

There is truly nothing better than seeing one of our babies exactly where they were always meant to be. ❤️

And once again, we have to give the biggest THANK YOU to their incredible foster mom, Angela. Taking in Mama Roxy and FIVE tiny babies was no small task, especially when the entire family came to us sick. Angela powered through weeks of medications, cleaning, laundry and what can only be described as an absolutely unreasonable amount of p**p. 😂💩

Angela, thank you for loving these babies like your own and getting them healthy, happy and ready for families of their very own. ❤️🐾

And THANK YOU to everyone who donated supplies, supported this litter and helped us along the way. Rescue truly takes a village and every Happily Ever After belongs to all of you too. ❤️

Now help us congratulate ELOISE AND HER TWO DADDIES!! 👑💕🏡

👑💕 DAPHNE IS OFFICIALLY ADOPTED! 💕👑

Our gorgeous baby girl Daphne has officially found her happily ever after! 🥹🏡🐾

A HUGE congratulations to Daphne and her amazing new family! And possibly the cutest part... they loved Daphne’s Halloween costume so much that her new sister is getting a MATCHING costume so they can dress up together! 😭🎃💕 We seriously cannot wait to see those pictures!

Just look at this family. 🥹 Daphne was clearly the missing piece that made it complete. ❤️

We also have to give a HUGE thank you to her foster mom, Angela, who took in Mama Roxy AND all five of her babies and went above and beyond for this litter. Let’s just say the first six weeks were basically one giant POOPAPALOOZA. 😂💩 Between sick puppies, medications, nonstop cleaning and more p**p than any human should ever have to see, this litter was NOT easy.

Angela, you were an absolute trooper and we seriously cannot thank you enough for everything you did to get these babies healthy and ready for their happily ever afters. ❤️🐾

And THANK YOU to everyone who donated supplies and helped us care for this family. Rescue truly takes a village and days like today happen because every single person plays a part. ❤️
