About CharlieJoe Chai
CharlieJoe Chai is a Colorado-based beverage company specializing in masala chai (spiced tea). Inspired by the chai wallahs of India who serve up little cups of sophisticated deliciousness, CharlieJoe spent 20 years perfecting his signature blend of tea and fresh ground spices. Although he first encountered this amazing drink during his numerous visits to India for humanitarian work, CharlieJoe’s mission to share authentic chai started over his own stovetop where he would brew up batches of fresh chai for neighbors and friends. As word of this incredible concoction spread, requests for a way to easily recreate the same epiphany of flavor began to pour in. So CharlieJoe partnered with trade experts to develop a chai concentrate that delivers all the flavor with none of the fuss. Now, CharlieJoe Chai is featured at 159 locations in 28 states nationwide. Best of all, a portion of all proceeds from CharlieJoe Chai also go to help prevent, rescue, and restore children in India from experiencing the horrors of human trafficking. Also in keeping with their humanitarian roots, CharlieJoe works directly with a single-origin tea estate in Assam, India that ensures a living wage for its employees and an enhanced quality of life for its community. CharlieJoe is on a mission to simultaneously become America’s Chai and to make a meaningful difference in the lives of millions, one cup at a time. #DrinkChaiSaveLives

GOOD IS WHAT THIS IS. ❤️☕
“Good Is What You Are” was a catchphrase our dear friend Ramona coined years ago—and back in 1999, Bill and I turned her words into a song. 🎶
Fast-forward 27 years…
Bill & Lisa now own East Bay Coffee, they’re serving CharlieJoe Chai, and there’s Ramona enjoying a cup—with the song she inspired playing in the background. ❤️
Talk about a full-circle moment!
Good is what you are, Ramona. And GOOD is what this is! 😊❤️

Absolutely love this, Joe! ♥️ What an incredible ending to National Chai Day—hitting the goal, and then an anonymous gift helping us rescue five precious children! 🙏🏼🌎
So grateful for you, Marla, and all the Besties for giving with such generous hearts. Together we really can make a difference! ♥️
What a night at Best Church Ever! ♥️
After an incredible service, Joe shared the news: together, we reached our National Chai Day goal—and rescued our 170th child! 🏮♥️
I was especially touched by the Besties. They gave with all their hearts, showing us once again that generosity isn’t about how much you have—it’s about how much love you’re willing to give.
170 children rescued. 170 lives forever changed.
Thank you, Besties! ☀️♥️

What a visit to Pigtrain Coffee! ♥️☕️
Before we even made it inside, parking attendant Tim stopped us to say CharlieJoe was “the greatest chai I’ve ever had!” 🙌🏼 What an introduction!
Then Barista X made his Café de Olla with CharlieJoe Spicy Chai 🔥, and we got to meet manager Andie—a fellow Clevelander!
Pigtrain was also just voted 5280 Magazine’s Readers’ Choice Best Coffee Shop! 🏆
Shout-out to the awesome baristas at Pigtrain! You guys rock! 🙌🏼♥️
Stop by Union Station and try a Spicy CharlieJoe Café de Olla!
We ♥️ Pigtrain!
What a day. ♥️☕️
National Chai Day 2026 was filled with chai, friends, coffee shops, laughter, generosity, and people coming together around one simple idea:
Share Chai. Save Lives.
Five years ago, we rescued our very first child on National Chai Day. This year, we set a goal to rescue five more.
And along the way, we experienced two moments we’ll never forget—rescuing child #167 at Coffee House 29 and child #168 at The Drip in Denver. ♥️
Two children. One incredible day. And we’re not done yet.
Every cup. Every donation. Every round-up. Every person who shared the story helped make this possible.
A huge shout-out to our friends at Summer Moon Coffee, who joined the mission with a round-up campaign at their stores, and to everyone who celebrated National Chai Day with us. And, as always, we’re so grateful for our friends at Life for the Innocent, who make these rescues possible.
Funds are still coming in, and we can still reach our goal of rescuing 5 children! If you’d like to help us get there, visit our website to give. ♥️
This is why we do what we do.
