New Roots Doula

Sometimes our well laid birth plans need to change due to various reasons. It’s amazing to walk alongside of families who carefully choose their provider to educate and support them through their labor and birth. It’s a beautiful thing to witness compassionate informed care. I was blessed to witness changed birth plans that ended with a beautiful peaceful delivery. Perseverance, trust and patience is what this birth called for and mama was so well supported by her provider (Stephanie VanderHorst ), husband, and nursing staff. Well done. Now this doula is tired and ready for a shower and some food. And a looooong night of sleep.

Sweet baby boy born straight OT. He and mama worked hard to get him earthside. Born on the 2nd most common day to be born! Good job, bubba. And magnificent job mama.

Great day to have a baby.

Sweet baby Girl was born at 4:20pm. Mom did an absolutely amazing job. Baby is right where she’s supposed to be, in mamas arms. 1st of the September babies is here!!!

Baby Day! Lord, cover this precious family as they bring this little one into the world. May it be a peaceful delivery with every nurse and provider walking in your wisdom. In Jesus Name.

Baby day! I was privileged to witness a beautiful and powerful VBAC early this morning. Congratulations to this family! You did it!

VBAC’s require more than just luck. They require a pro-VBAC team, education, support, and overcoming the fear that a previous c-section can imprint on the heart and psyche.
