Without our two main sponsors this year, Indiana Tech and CodeClouds, the Mark Cuban Foundation AI Bootcamp wouldn’t be available to high school students in our area.

Opportunities like this happen because local leaders raise their hands and say, “Yes—investing in our young people matters, and we’re willing to help.”

Indiana Tech and CodeClouds have shown up in that way time and time again, and we’re incredibly grateful for their continued support.

Here’s why they believe this initiative is so important:

Three consecutive Saturdays. That's the whole commitment! 📅

The AI Bootcamp at Indiana Tech runs October 31, November 7, and November 14, 11am to 4pm, so it fits right around school, work, and everything else in a student's life.

There's also about five hours of work students do on their own time between sessions, which brings the whole program to 20 hours.

It's free, open to grades 9 through 12, and spaces are limited. Students who apply early have the best shot!

Got someone in your life who's been curious about AI? Worth forwarding before spots fill. 😊

Applications close September 30.

So what does a day at the AI Bootcamp actually look like? ☕

Students roll into Indiana Tech around 11 and sit down with mentors who use AI in their real jobs. From there it's small groups, real projects, and plenty of building, talking, and presenting. Out the door by 4.

By the end of the three Saturdays, most walk out having met people working in fields they're curious about, and having built something to show for it.

That combo is pretty hard to come by at 16. Especially for free! 🙌

Know a student who'd come alive in a room like that? Send it to them.

Free to attend. Applications close September 30.

Myself and David Stillson will both me showing the community how we're using Grok Bot - you'll need to be sitting down for this! It's wild.

Tony Clark will be sharing a platform that he built to help kids and parents learn financial skills together.

And finally, we're so excited to introduce our community to Kelly - leader of Google's community and workforce development!

Check out what a student can build in a single Saturday. 🤯

A past participant and his partner made a working email phishing detector. They trained it on real data, tested it, and got it running start to finish over the program.

In his words: "It was the first time I got to train, test, and deploy a model in the same weekend. The best part was realizing how quickly you can turn an idea into a functioning tool with AI."

Real tools, built by real students. Everybody walks away with something they made and can actually show off. 💪

If that sounds like someone you know, forward this one their way!

Free to attend, grades 9 through 12, right here at Indiana Tech. Applications close September 30.

Six tracks. One of them is probably already on a student's mind. ➡️

At the AI Bootcamp coming to Indiana Tech this fall, students pick the path that fits their interests, then spend the program building an AI project in that direction with a group headed the same way. On the last day, they present what they made.

🏥 Healthcare
🏀 Sports and Fitness
💻 Computer Science
💡 Business and Entrepreneurship
🌱 Ecology and Food Security
🎬 Arts and Entertainment

Take another look at that list — there's a spot here for the future nurse, the athlete, the artist, and the kid with a business idea sitting in her notes app. Every one of those paths runs through AI now.

Swipe through to see where a student in your life might land!

Free to attend, all experience levels welcome. Applications close September 30.

Learning AI is so much better with friends. 🥰

This morning at our monthly AI meetup we had three awesome demos from real people building real things right here in our community.

David and Austin built a vehicle collection app built for collectors to manage vehicle details, insurance, registration, and documentation — with future ideas like chat-based onboarding, insurance exports, and even marketplace features.

Cole and Jay with Sweet Dreams media production shared how a two-person team is using AI to research leads, generate proposals faster, streamline scripting, and monitor ad performance.

And Jason led some super fun audience participation with a super fun AI-powered game called Wits and Wagers that turned trivia into a live lesson on strategy, critical thinking, and why AI still needs human judgment and context.

And it certainly wouldn't be the same without our sponsors.

We had yummy Rise 'n Roll Bakery donuts thanks to Eric and Justin from MapleTronics the most delicious (and necessary) coffee thanks to Megan and Better Business Bureau, and a beautiful space to congregate thanks to Indiana Tech.

Meetup days are the best days of the month.

Community is everything moving forward. It's where real connections, real learning and real life happens.

See you in September!
