Busy week—and an even busier weekend—in Florida.

We’re wrapping up the week visiting several of our houses of worship, reviewing Emergency Operations Procedures, meeting with Crisis Response Teams, and getting some hands-on training in with those teams as well.

A House of Worship Crisis Response Team isn’t built in a four-hour seminar—despite what the internet may tell you.

True preparedness takes time. It takes planning, training, repetition, clearly defined responsibilities, and a team willing to continuously improve.

Our goal is simple: when we work with a church or house of worship, we want them truly prepared—not just checking a box. We want their Crisis Response Teams capable, confident, and ready to act when seconds matter.

Most importantly, we want their congregations—their flocks—protected.

Gunfights don’t happen standing perfectly upright, feet planted, with a clean draw stroke and a perfect sight picture.

They’re chaotic. You may find yourself on your back, on a knee, prone, moving, fighting for position, or trying very hard not to become dead.

This beautiful Weatherby Mark V has plenty of history behind it, but the original mounting setup limited the options for modern optics. We updated the rifle with a Picatinny rail system, giving it the flexibility to accommodate a new optic while preserving the character and craftsmanship that make this rifle special.

There’s something pretty cool about taking a rifle that has been passed down through a family and carefully bringing it into the modern era without taking away from what it is.
