It is with deep sorrow that the Williamson County Emergency Services District #6 Fire/Rescue, announces the off-duty passing of Firefighter Jack Hohman, on July 7,2026.

The District extends its heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, friends and colleagues. Our focus will be to ensure the family and our District members receive the support needed during this difficult time.

While Jack was only with our agency for a short time, he has made a lasting impact on all those who were lucky enough to meet him. Many people have told us, Jack said joining the District changed his life. Well Jack, you help changed ours and you added to the District’s philosophy of ”Honor the past, build for the future”. We will mourn the loss of our brother; and will see him off with the respect and dignity he earned.

Out of respect for the family, they are requesting privacy at this time while they mourn Jack’s passing.

Arrangement announcement to follow.

Dustan Lee is a Firefighter-Candidate with ESD6. The hay bale fire last month, was his first outside fire call. As a Firefighter-Candidate with our District, he is currently going through SFFMA Structural Firefighter certification training blocks including: Hazardous Materials First Responder Awareness/ Operations; Firefighter I and II; and Emergency Medical Responder. While in training he and the District's other 4 Firefighter-Candidates, still respond to calls for service and put in hours at the fire station. This allows them to obtain real world experience within their training limits, while still learning the profession of Firefighting.
