INTRODUCING: IN GOOD COMPANY!

In Good Company is a group of local teens working together to build a safe and fun space for everyone, make friends, and make a difference in Hanover, PA. Join us for our next meeting on Monday, September 21st at 6:30 pm in the Teen Library and help us plan our October Teen Night Out event. All are welcome!

They say when one door closes, another opens — our separation from our previous employ has given the three of us the freedom to choose what, when, and where we focus on our mission of advocacy, community, and support. That flexibility has honestly been a multifaceted blessing.

That freedom is also why quite a few of you have asked how you can financially donate to us. We're not pursuing official nonprofit status right now. The process takes real time and money, and we'd rather put our energy into our programs. It's something we may revisit down the road, but for now, our focus is on doing the work.

That said, we're incredibly grateful for your support, and there's still a great way to help: donated goods. For example, our upcoming Teen Night Out could use snacks, beverages, and small craft supplies to keep everyone fed and happy!

Last night we met with our newly minted teen group, "In Good Company," and introduced everyone to our new partner, Guthrie Memorial Branch Librarian Jennifer C. As always, the members of this group were funny, hard-working, and earnest as we planned our new vision, as well as our first event for teens on September 19.

If you have a 7th-12th grader who'd like to work with community-minded, nonjudgemental peers to create a safe, fun, and confidential space for teens, reach out to us. And don't forget to register them for our free "Murder in the Pumpkin Patch" Teen Night Out!
