As an author, a poet, and a writer it’s important to be in genuine community. To read current publications and the classics like ‘All About Love’ by bell hooks. I witnessed and experienced so much healing surrounded by these amazing Black women. Stay connected. ❤️‍🔥

Let’s make reading the trend. America’s literacy rates continue to decline. Most adults read below a 6th grade level and Many high school seniors can’t read or write. A decline in literacy, is one of the first signs a society is about to collapse. flex and read in public today. ❤️‍🔥

Authors, healthy relationships are never one sided. That also applies to the relationship between you and your local bookstore. Ensure the relationship is mutually beneficial. How does your book appeal to their audience? What ideas do you have to generate more foot traffic to your local bookstore?
