Baby, Kinsley Keys was giving us a GREAT piano session today! And guess what? She was actually playing with multiple fingers! 🥹💛

One thing we’ve always done during piano sessions is give her the freedom to freestyle and do her own thing. Why? Because we know there is music locked up inside of her, and sometimes you just have to give them the space to let it out. 🎶

Today was one of those proud Mommy moments. 🥹❤️ I am SO proud of my Princess Kinsley!

And this is exactly why I believe so deeply in what we stand for at — My Kid Is An Overcomer.

There is SO much more inside of our children than a diagnosis.

So, we don’t just focus on the diagnosis.
We focus on their strength.
We focus on their gifts.
We focus on their possibilities.
We focus on the ways they OVERCOME.

Because my kid is an overcomer. And so is yours. 💛

Last summer, I introduced Kinsley to the world of piano lessons... and honestly, she introduced me to the reason why. 🎹💛

This sweet girl kept downloading every piano app she could find on my phone! 😂 I figured it was time to see where that curiosity might lead.

Fast forward to her recital in April... and whew, my mama heart smiled BIG. Watching her sit at that piano and play reminded me that progress doesn't always happen overnight—it happens one note, one lesson, one victory at a time.

Now we're working on playing with multiple fingers, and who knows... Miss Kinsley just might surprise us at the winter recital in December! 🥹🎶

Autism is a journey, and every child travels that journey at their own pace. We're learning, growing, celebrating, and embracing each milestone—one day, one moment, one achievement at a time.

To my MKIAO Tribe, never forget: It's the pace of grace. Our kids are overcomers, and sometimes the greatest victories are found in the smallest steps forward. Keep believing. Keep celebrating. Keep seeing the overcomer in your child.

This sweet memory still makes me smile.

I love this moment with Kinsley and her dad as they're playing catch with this textured beach ball. It's always so special to see how Kinsley is thriving.

I can't even remember when we first discovered that she knew how to catch a ball. I'm sure we tested her skills at ages three, four, five, and six. But to see her today, still in the mix, still growing, still showing up—it means everything.

We're always trying to push her and expose her to new experiences, especially when it comes to building her social skills and being engaged with the world around her.

So we love you, Princess Kinsley. And to all the parents out there raising children with unique abilities, I just want to say—keep letting your light shine. Don't give up. Because there is an overcomer in each and every one of our children.
