September 23, 2026 marked a century since Coltrane’s birth. With A Love Supreme, he turned gratitude, faith, and a search for meaning into music that continues to move us.

At Three Keys Coffee, we reimagine the intersection of music and coffee. Love Supremo is our nod to Coltrane’s landmark album and Colombian Supremo coffee: a washed single origin, with a medium roast and notes of cherry, chocolate, and nuts.

Thank you, Farm Flavor for featuring Three Keys Coffee in “Meet Two Texas Coffee Roasters Waking Up the Texas Coffee Community,” alongside fellow Texas roaster Whiskey Morning Coffee.

The feature takes us back to our earliest days: roasting coffee at home, sharing our blends online and pairing each one with a playlist so that flavor could be experienced through sound. That idea still guides us today. Our Flavor Wheel translates the sensory experience of coffee through the language, moods and personalities of jazz. This harkens back to a nostalgia and makes specialty coffee more expressive, approachable and personal.

But at the heart of Three Keys has always been connection. Coffee creates space for ideas to emerge, relationships to deepen and communities to gather around a shared cup. Like jazz, it invites us to slow down, listen closely and discover something new together.

We’re grateful to Farm Flavor, the Texas Department of Agriculture and everyone who has tasted, listened, supported and grown with us.

Grown in Nyeri, Kenya, this double-washed selection brings together SL28 and SL34 varieties cultivated at 1,700 meters for a cup with clarity, structure, and vibrant fruit character.

Inspired by Duke Ellington’s sweeping big-band sound and his orchestra’s signature tune, “Take the ‘A’ Train,” this coffee moves with brass-bright energy and a polished, steady swing. Double A Train leans toward the brighter side of the Three Keys Flavor Wheel where tropical stone fruit carries the melody, black tea holds the rhythm, and orange citrus brings the arrangement to a bright finish.

For those meeting us for the first time, Three Keys is a Houston-born craft coffee roaster built around a simple belief: taste, sight and sound are all connected. We pair carefully roasted coffees with soulful soundtracks, using music as a map to make specialty coffee more expressive, approachable and memorable.

Leading the set at DUO is Round Midnight, our signature espresso blend inspired by the after-hours elegance of the Thelonious Monk standard. A medium-dark composition of coffees from Colombia, Ethiopia and Brazil, Round Midnight is refined, indulgent and rich—a full-bodied, beautifully balanced cup with the depth to hold its own and the smoothness to move effortlessly with milk.
