BTL is a 14-week restorative justice program with over 93,000 inmate graduates since it began in 1998.
The program both reduces crime by lowering the recidivism rate of its graduates, and helps heal crime victims who participate as volunteers. Bridges To Life (BTL) is a faith-based restorative justice program for incarcerated men and women that reduces recidivism among program graduates and helps make our communities safer. BTL accomplishes this mission by utilizing a unique 14-week curriculum centered on victim impact and facilitated by volunteers. Over 86% of BTL graduates do not return to prison within 3 years after release! Bridges To Life has been conducted in 236 facilities since inception, and its curriculum has been used in 18 states and 7 countries, graduating over 87,000 offenders with the help of more than 3,900 volunteers.

We are honored to be held in prayer for the month of June by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth, Kansas. Praying for organizations like ours is their way of expanding their support beyond financial donations. In their own words, "We are blessed to walk with you in mission and Spirit, trusting that together we help make God's love visible in our world."
Every once in a while, we get a 5-star review on Google! This one appeared just this week:
"I graduated the Bridges To Life program in Bryan TX in Nov 2025. It was a life changing experience! I was released from prison January of 2026 and I am living proof that the program works and changes lives. Thank you for your time and dedication!"

What one BTL graduate wrote when asked what he received from the program: "Bridges To Life empowers the offender to confront and face the demons that dwell and grow within these walls, and gives them hope that they can be something better." Amen, and congratulations to all of our Spring 2026 graduates!
For National Correctional Officers Week, May 3-9, BTL is proud to recognize the correctional officers who make a difference every day through their service, professionalism and commitment. Because of you, our volunteers are able to safely bring Bridges To Life to the incarcerated. THANK YOU!
