Freedom is only the beginning. Some of our cases take more than a decade of litigation before a client is finally freed. That moment is filled with joy, relief, and celebration. But once the excitement fades, day-to-day life as a free person can be incredibly hard. Most of our clients have spent decades in prison, working for just cents an hour. When they’re released, they often have no savings and little support. Many struggle to find employment, secure housing, or rebuild relationships. Years—sometimes a lifetime—of stability and opportunity have been stolen from them.
That’s why our Client Services Division focuses on life after freedom. From basic necessities to healthcare, housing, employment, identification, benefits, continued legal support, and psychological care, we walk with our clients for as long as they need us.
When we ask for your support, it’s so we can continue to be there—both for those still fighting for their freedom and for those learning how to live again after it.
