A new client contacted us looking for an anniversary gift for his wife, a huge Grateful Dead fan.

He had ideas for what he wanted, so we took those ideas and designed a completely custom bracelet for her. We created the rendering, he approved it, and then he told us the deadline:

Six days.

He wanted to give it to her at the concert they were attending together.

So we got to work.

Every link was designed from scratch, incorporating different details inspired by the Grateful Dead and their story. From design and fabrication to assembly and finishing, we made the entire bracelet right here at Eklektic.

Six days later: mission accomplished.

And somewhere that night, at a Grateful Dead concert, she received a piece of jewelry that existed nowhere in the world six days earlier.

He didn’t want a new wedding band. He wanted his wedding band.

This tungsten band had broken, creating a difficult problem: tungsten cannot simply be soldered or repaired like gold or platinum.

But replacing it would have meant losing the ring that carried all the memories.

So we found another solution.

We preserved the original broken tungsten band and created a custom sterling silver enclosure around it, incorporating the break into the design instead of trying to hide its history.

The result is something completely unique—and, most importantly, he gets to keep wearing his wedding band.

This is one of our favorite parts of what we do at Eklektic. Sometimes a client doesn’t need a replacement.

They need someone willing to figure out how to save what matters.

Some things are too precious to leave on a piece of paper. ❤️

For this custom gold pendant, the family’s oldest child—only about five years old—wrote the names of the three siblings in his own handwriting.

We took those little handwritten letters and recreated them in gold, then added each sibling’s birthstone.

And on the back, perhaps the most important part:

“I LOVE YOU”

Also in his handwriting.

Someday he’ll be grown. His handwriting will change. The kids will grow up and start lives of their own.

But this little moment in their family’s story will still be here, preserved in gold.
