The American Medical Association has named Legacy Community Health a 2026 Joy in Medicine® organization at the Bronze level. We are the first federally qualified health center in Texas to earn this recognition, and one of only a few in the country.

Burnout is one of the biggest challenges facing health care today. Through our StarLIGHT peer-support program and the Well-Being Index, we check in on our physicians and care teams and give them real support to reduce burnout factors.

Last Friday, we gathered to celebrate the ribbon-cutting for Legacy’s new Acres Homes clinic, which has been caring for patients since July.

This milestone is possible thanks to Houston Methodist’s gift of more than $50 million supporting our Acres Homes and Pasadena clinics, the largest gift in Legacy’s history.

Between learning, moving, connecting, and sharing resources, the morning was all about helping Houston seniors stay steady on their feet and confident in their independence.

We were proud to soon celebrate the ribbon cutting of the new Legacy Acres Homes Clinic, a milestone years in the making and an important investment in the health of the community.

This new clinic brings healthcare services closer to home, making it easier for individuals and families to access the care and support they need.

From routine checkups and preventive care to behavioral health and pharmacy services, our goal is simple: help more people receive quality care in a place that is convenient and welcoming.
