Grief doesn’t follow a timeline, and there is no “right” way to move through loss.
In our newest blog, “Grief Doesn’t Follow a Timeline,” Marc Gutierrez, LPC-A, explores how grief can show up differently for everyone and why support, patience, and remembrance matter.

The Conative Blog | Grief Doesn't Follow a Timeline One of the most common questions people ask after losing someone is, "Shouldn't I be over this by now?" It's a question that often comes from a place of frustration, shame, or the feeling that everyone else has moved on while you're still carrying the weight of your loss. We often receive subtle (an...

✨ For years, parents have asked me the same question...
"Do you have a book I can read?"
For a long time, I had to say, "Not yet."
Today, I'm thrilled to say... "Yes."
After years of conversations with children, parents, educators, and therapists, I'm excited to share that my collection of ADHD books is now complete.
📘 "ADHD: The Comprehensive Parent's Guide" was written to help parents better understand ADHD and executive functioning while providing practical, strengths-based strategies they can use every day.
📗 "My Incredible ADHD Brain: Big Ideas, Big Energy" helps young children understand and celebrate how their remarkable brains work.
📙 "Control Tower Kids™: The Case of the Missing Cargo" introduces executive functioning through an engaging mystery adventure for elementary-age readers.
To extend the learning even further, each of the children’s books includes companion Parent, Teacher, and Clinician Guides that provide additional ideas and practical applications.
These books represent much more than a writing project. They reflect years of listening, learning, and growing alongside the incredible children and families I've had the privilege to know. My hope is that they continue those conversations long after an evaluation, therapy session, or classroom lesson has ended.
